So a wonderfully warm welcome to this meditation.
My name's Robbie and we're here to talk about one of my favourite subjects,
Healthy habits.
I am a huge fan of healthy habits but we're all human and we all have good habits,
Healthy habits and then some that might not be so good,
Not so useful in our lives.
And we might feel that we're stuck with those habits,
We couldn't possibly give this or that up.
But we can,
We find that we can and within a few weeks we can rewire our behaviours with new nourishing habits like meditation or yoga,
Breathwork or just simple acts of mindfulness.
So meditating most certainly comes near the top of fantastic habits and practices that are going to improve your life and have radical effects on your well-being,
Physical and mental health.
So let's start off by getting comfy,
Starting to just deepen our breath,
Feeling how our breath is coming today.
Maybe it's through the nose,
Maybe it's through the mouth,
Maybe it's a bit stuck in the chest,
Short sharp breathing in the chest,
Maybe it's already nice gentle diaphragmatic belly breathing.
Whichever it is,
Just focus with no judgment and start to deepen that breath.
Just closing down the eyes or if you want just fix a downward gaze very softly on something in front of you.
And maybe you're wondering how a meditation can make such a big change,
But they can be a huge support and enabler to change your habits from belief in yourself to increased self-love and ultimately better connections,
Focus and happiness.
So many positives if we can just create that habit.
So feel free to come back here and listen again and again to really bed that habit in.
So now just coming back to the breath,
Noticing,
Observing,
Long slow breaths in,
Body relaxing,
Long exhales out.
Any tense spots just simply melting under your attention.
As we open your heart and your mind to the life that you'd like to be living by creating these healthy habits.
As we breathe in a bright stream of loving light,
Breathe out any negativity.
Breathing in living healthily and breathing out old habits.
Breathe in practices that can help and improve your being.
Breathe out habits that no longer serve you.
Breathe in love,
Breathe out fear.
Breathe in a regular practice of meditation.
Breathing out,
Choosing to let go of old habits,
Harmful cycles.
Letting go now of any old stories,
Just releasing anything which doesn't serve you.
Old habits just falling like leaves from a tree as you breathe in those new healthy habits.
And you're feeling yourself just so at ease in your whole body,
Simply resting in your body in this state of being.
Sensation in your body,
Heavy,
Satisfied,
Deeply relaxed.
And then taking your attention to your heart space,
Just pulling your awareness to your heart space.
And just feeling a golden light of love and compassion radiating from your heart.
Just see that golden light spreading out to your arms,
Your chest,
And your belly.
Up to your head,
Down to your pelvis,
Running down your legs and arms,
This golden light of love and compassion spreading across your whole body.
As it touches a part of your body,
That place softens.
If that place in your body could smile,
It would do.
Maybe bringing a gentle smile to your lips.
Spending a few moments feeling into that light and radiance that's spreading around your body,
Coursing through every corner,
Every nook and cranny of your body,
That golden light.
As you slowly come back to your breath,
Still basking in that light,
That radiance spread through your whole body,
This golden light of new habits.
Letting go of that that does not serve you anymore,
And instead embracing these new healthy habits.
Feel your breath deep in your belly.
Inhaling and exhaling calmly,
Slowly,
Softly,
Gently.
And when you're ready,
And with no rush,
With no sudden movement,
Starting to come back to the room,
To the mat,
To your seat,
To your favorite space,
To your chair.
Sitting quietly,
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
And as we finish this meditation,
The last thing we'll do is gently open our eyes with a soft focus,
A soft gaze.
Bring ourselves gently back into the world.
