Gently close your eyes.
Feel your breath flowing naturally in and out of your body.
Place your hands over your heart as you imagine letting go of anything and everything that stands between you and complete inner peace.
Continue to focus on your breathing as you imagine letting go of anything in your body,
Anything in your heart,
Anything in your emotions,
Anything in your mind that stands between you and complete inner peace.
Imagine yourself in a very safe place.
Perhaps a place you have visited before.
Perhaps a place you have only visited in your imagination.
Notice what that place looks like.
Notice any sounds that you hear in this safe and protected place.
Notice any smells or tastes or perhaps the feeling of a gentle breeze on your face.
And in your mind's eye,
Imagine someone or something,
Perhaps a pet or another animal who brings a smile to your face.
And in your imagination,
Say these words to them.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be peaceful.
May you be free from suffering.
And now,
In your mind's eye,
Say those same words to yourself.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
May I be peaceful.
May I be free from suffering.
Allow your breathing to deepen as you breathe in through your nose for the count of four and out through your mouth for the count of six.
As you continue to breathe easily and deeply,
Relax your tongue on the floor of your mouth.
Picture the big open space behind your eyes.
Allow yourself to imagine that you are breathing in and out through your heart area.
Breathing into your heart for the count of four.
Breathing out through your heart for the count of six.
If any thoughts arise during this meditation,
Simply let them go like clouds drifting across the sky.
Notice your hands.
Notice your feet.
Feel the space inside your hands.
Feel the space inside your feet as they sit flat on the floor.
Feel the space inside your legs.
Feel the space inside your hips.
Feel the space inside your torso.
Feel the space inside your neck and shoulders.
Feel the space behind your eyes.
Feel the space inside your entire body.
As you continue breathing easily and deeply through your heart,
Four seconds in.
Six seconds out.
Imagine a beam of loving energy extending out of your heart and connecting to a person or a place or a thing that makes you feel wonderful.
A person,
A place or a thing that brings a smile to your face.
Allow yourself to be aware of what that beam of loving energy looks like.
What that beam of energy feels like.
The texture and the color of that beam of loving energy.
Allow that loving healing energy to flow from your heart to that other person,
Place or thing.
Feel that energy flowing from your heart to their heart.
Enjoy the sensation of allowing that loving energy to flow easily and naturally to that other being.
Continue to allow your tongue to relax on the floor of your mouth.
Once again,
Notice that big empty space behind your eyes.
Now bring that beam of healing energy into your own body.
Direct it to a place in your body that needs your loving attention.
It might be a place of pain.
It might be a place that feels stressed or tense or a place that feels sick.
Surround that area of your body with this loving healing energy from your heart.
Saturate that part of your body with this loving healing energy.
Allow this area of your body to totally soak up this energy from this beam of loving energy coming from your heart.
Allow this loving energy to bring healing to this part of your body.
Spend a few moments simply enjoying the feeling of this healing energy.
And now,
As you continue to breathe easily and naturally,
Still in this safe and protected place in your imagination,
I want you to imagine a wise and loving being that knows you well coming into your awareness.
It might be your higher self.
It might be one of your guides.
It might be an angel or a religious figure.
It might be a pet or a power animal.
Someone or something who is wise and loving and knows you well.
It might be a wise and loving relative who has passed away.
In your imagination,
I want you to welcome this being into your awareness.
Watch as they come closer to you.
Notice that they have a gift for you.
As they place the gift down temporarily,
I want you to hold both of your hands in their hands.
Or if they are an animal,
It might be their paws.
Look into their eyes and feel the loving energy that is flowing to you.
Absorb that loving energy into your body,
Into your being.
Spend a few moments simply allowing that energy to sink into your body,
Into your being.
And when you are ready,
Ask them about the gift they have for you today.
It might be a message.
It might be an answer to a question you have been asking the universe for a very long time.
It might be a song.
It might be something tangible or something intangible.
Maybe it's a surprise that you will become aware of later.
Accept this gift of love and awareness and thank your wise and loving being.
If it feels appropriate,
Give them a hug.
Spend a few more moments simply enjoying their energy.
Now,
When you are ready,
Say goodbye to your wise and loving being and watch them move away.
Begin preparing yourself to return to this place and time.
Become aware of the weight of your body on the chair you are sitting on.
Become aware of your feet.
Your feet flat on the floor and your hands,
Which may still be on your heart or perhaps in your lap or by your side.
Become aware of your whole body and how your energy may have shifted.
How your vibration may be higher than it was when you started this meditation.
Continue breathing easily and deeply as you notice these potential changes.
And when you are ready,
Gently flutter your eyes open.
Look around the room and notice what you see.
