Welcome to Quiet Bloom.
This is a gentle space for rest,
Stillness,
And self-care.
You don't need any experience,
And there's nothing you need to do right,
So go ahead and get comfortable in whatever way feels supportive for you.
When you're ready,
Let's begin.
Take a moment to get settled,
Whether you're sitting or lying down.
Maybe you gently close your eyes,
If that feels okay.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And a soft breath out through your mouth,
And exhale.
In this guided meditation,
We are just practicing returning.
Returning to the breath.
Returning to the body.
And returning to ourselves.
Returning to this present moment,
Here and now.
It is April,
And this time of year often brings a lot of togetherness.
Family gatherings,
Holidays,
Full houses,
Full calendars,
And full conversations.
Sometimes that togetherness can feel really beautiful,
And sometimes it can also feel overwhelming.
And sometimes it can feel both of these ways at the exact same time.
As you breathe here,
Take a moment to acknowledge and honor whatever feelings or sensations come up for you.
In the middle of all that beauty,
And all of that overwhelm,
And all of that busyness,
You can always come back to your breath.
As you settle in here,
Notice your inhale,
And notice your exhale.
Your breath is something that is always with you.
At the dinner table,
In the kitchen,
In the car.
It is here for you when the house is loud,
When you need a moment,
And when you don't know what to say.
It's even here for you when you just need a moment to pause.
So for the next few moments,
We're just going to practice returning to this breath.
Noticing this breath.
As it wanders,
You just gently come back to your slow,
Steady inhale,
And your slow,
Steady exhale.
If you start thinking about plans,
Or conversations,
Or all the things that you need to do,
You just gently come back to this breath.
You don't have to change your breath.
You don't have to breathe perfectly.
Just notice it.
Notice it,
And allow it to anchor you here.
Your body,
And in this present moment.
Maybe this week,
When things feel busy,
Or loud,
Or overwhelming,
Maybe you'll remember that you can always step away for one moment,
And take one slow,
Steady breath in,
And one slow,
Steady breath out.
Be well today.
