Welcome to Quiet Bloom.
This is a gentle space for rest,
Stillness,
And self-care.
This meditation was developed to help you really savor the sweetness of slowing down.
So go ahead and get comfortable,
And when you're ready,
Let's begin.
Take these next few moments to find a comfortable position,
Whether you're laying down or seated,
Maybe you're on your yoga mat,
Wherever you are,
Just allow yourself to really feel supported.
Taking whatever movements or adjustments that you need to get comfortable,
And as you arrive here,
Take a moment to acknowledge and honor the fact that you have carved out this precious time for yourself.
Gently begin to bring your awareness inward,
Noticing how the body feels,
Noticing how the mind feels,
Honoring and acknowledging any thoughts or feelings or sensations that come up for you,
Without the need to change or force anything,
Just simply noticing.
Notice your breath,
The natural rhythm as you inhale and as you exhale.
As you breathe here,
Allow your breath to be exactly as it is.
There is nothing to rush to,
Nowhere else that you need to be.
There is just this moment and your breath.
You might begin to notice as you start slowing yourself down,
Even just a little bit,
That more begins to reveal itself.
Maybe you notice sensation or subtle shifts in the body for the first time today.
The feeling of your breath moving in and moving out of you.
Maybe you notice areas of tightness or tension or feelings of ease and openness in the physical body.
Notice the quiet presence of simply being here with those sensations.
There is a sweetness in slowing down.
It is not loud or overbearing.
It is not pushy.
It is gentle and steady.
Often,
When we go through the motions of every day and we are rushing from point A to point B,
It is easy to miss the sweetness of slowing down when we are moving too quickly.
I invite you to soften into that idea that nothing needs to be forced and nothing needs to happen.
Just allow yourself to be here now with your body and with your breath.
I invite you to do a little body scan,
Slowly moving from the crown of your head down to your toes.
Taking your time,
As you notice where your body meets the floor or the couch,
The bed,
Or any of the support beneath you.
Noticing any areas of sensation in the body.
Maybe it feels like tightness,
Heaviness,
Or maybe there is already an ease or a sense of openness in the body.
Know that all of these feelings and sensations are welcome.
As you stay here slowing down,
Begin to notice how things shift in their own sweet time.
The breath deepens.
The inhale lengthens and the exhale lingers.
The body begins to soften,
Letting go of any holding or tension.
The mind becomes just a little quieter.
Notice how this softening occurs not because you forced yourself into it,
But because you gave yourself time.
So allow this to be your intention today or this evening.
To move slowly.
To notice.
To stay long enough to feel.
To allow each round of breath,
Your steady inhale and your steady exhale to unfold in its own time.
Breathe.
There is a sweetness here,
A sweetness in slowing down,
In staying present,
And the simple act of showing yourself kindness and compassion in this present moment.
Take a slow,
Nourishing,
Deep breath in and an easy breath out.
Be well.
