Give yourself this five minutes of breathing space to check in and see how you are doing. How is your body feeling? What emotions are you experiencing? In this meditation, you'll have a moment to notice what you might be needing and anything else that comes up in this sacred, self-loving time for you!

Welcome to this moment.

You're taking it for yourself.

Here you are.

Here we are,

Sharing space together.

I will be guiding you through an experience that is designed with you in mind.

It's designed to help you connect with yourself,

Which is a high form of self-love,

To check in with yourself like a good friend would,

To see how you're doing in this moment.

We'll start with the body,

Whatever position you're in,

Whether you're seated,

Standing,

Or moving.

Just noticing your body in space,

Whatever it's doing.

Now I invite you to bring some stillness to your body if you're able to.

Just noticing what it's like to be present in your body,

Listening to my voice.

Imagine yourself planted here,

Roots growing out of your feet.

Whatever has happened before this moment or whatever will happen after this moment can be pushed aside.

There's nothing else you have to do and nowhere else you have to be but right here and right now in this moment.

Now with your full attention,

Notice what it's like to be fully present.

And from here,

We'll scan through the body,

Noticing any areas that may or may not stand out to you,

Whether they're relaxed or tense and without judgment,

Just noticing how your body might be feeling right here and right now.

This is time you can give yourself to connect with your body.

And from here,

We'll take a few deep breaths in and out,

Counting in for four,

Pausing and counting out for eight,

Doing that three times in a row,

Inhaling for four,

Pausing for one,

And exhaling for eight,

Counting,

Slowing down your breathing,

Pacing your breath,

Noticing what it's like to fill your lungs with oxygen and to exhale into a sense of relaxation.

Noticing what it's like to slow down enough to pay attention to your breath.

And from here,

We'll check in on the emotional body,

Tuning inward toward your heart.

If you're comfortable,

You can place your hand on your heart and ask yourself,

How am I feeling right now?

What am I noticing?

Am I experiencing any emotions?

Maybe you feel connected to one emotion,

Maybe many,

Maybe you're not feeling much.

There's no judgment,

Just noticing whatever you're experiencing.

What might your emotions be telling you or lack of emotion be telling you?

Can you open up a little more to give a little more space to what you're experiencing?

Sitting with that for just a few more seconds.

And as you tune inward,

Noticing what you might be needing in this moment today.

Maybe it's grace and compassion for yourself.

Maybe it's a little movement.

Maybe it's a little space and time,

A snack you enjoy.

Whatever it is you're noticing you might be needing,

Ask yourself how you might be able to give it to yourself today.

And now we'll do a little check-in into the practice,

Asking if there's anything you've become aware of in our short time together today that you might not have been aware of before we started.

Just taking some time with that.

Slowing down and taking time to check in.

It might be valuable for you to do once a week,

A few times a week,

Or every day.

Thank you for your time,

And I hope that you continue to show up for you.

Until next time.
