This meditation is called the energetic container.
A meditation for releasing what you don't need to carry right now.
Take a moment to get comfortable.
You can sit,
Lie down,
Or simply find a position where your body feels supported.
And as you settle in,
Take a slow deep breath in.
And exhale.
Let's do that again.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And exhale.
Now,
Allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment.
Because sometimes life gives us more to process than we have capacity to process all at once.
A conversation,
A stressful day,
Something happening at work,
Something happening in your family.
A decision you need to make.
A feeling you can't quite shake away.
Something that happened yesterday or something you're worried might happen tomorrow.
And sometimes we need permission to say,
I don't have to figure this out right now.
I can come back to this.
I can give myself space.
I can put this down for now.
This is what we're going to practice together.
This isn't about ignoring something or pretending it doesn't exist.
It's about creating enough space within yourself.
So that you can be present for your life right now.
You can always come back to what you've placed into your container.
When you have the time,
Support and capacity to give it your attention.
So take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Relax your jaw.
Let your hands become soft.
Allow your belly to release.
And just notice your body being supported beneath you.
You don't have to hold yourself up all by yourself in this moment you are supported You are here.
You're safe enough to take a breath.
Now I want you to imagine that there is a beautiful container somewhere in your mind.
Don't overthink this.
Let whatever comes to you come Maybe it's a box,
A chest,
A safe,
A vault,
A beautiful basket,
A jar,
A sacred vessel.
Maybe it's something completely unexpected.
There's no right or wrong container.
Trust what your mind creates.
Take a moment to notice it.
What does it look like?
What color is it?
What is it made of?
Is it big or small?
Notice how it opens.
And notice how it closes.
Most importantly,
Notice how secure it feels.
This container belongs to you.
You are in control of what goes inside.
You decide when it opens.
You decide when you return to what you've placed inside.
And nothing needs to stay there forever.
This is simply a place to temporarily hone what you are not ready or do not need to carry right now.
Now think about something that's been taking up space in your mind lately.
You don't need to choose the biggest or most painful thing.
Choose something that would feel good to put down for now.
Maybe it's a worry,
A stressful situation,
A conversation,
A decision,
A responsibility,
An expectation,
A fear about the future,
Or simply the emotional residue from everything you've been dealing with.
What comes up.
Just notice it.
Don't analyze it,
Don't feel the need to fix it don't need to understand why you're feeling this way Simply acknowledge.
This is something I'm carrying right now.
Now imagine it gathering up all the pieces of it.
The thoughts,
The emotions,
The images,
The questions,
The tension in your body,
The what-ifs,
The things you wish that had happened differently,
The things you don't know how to solve yet.
Imagine gathering it all.
And gently placing it into your container.
You might place it inside one piece at a time,
Or perhaps you simply imagine the entire situation moving into the container at once.
Take your time.
There is no rush.
And as you place each piece inside,
Remind yourself I don't have to carry this right now.
I can come back to this when I'm ready.
I give myself permission to be present in this moment.
Keep placing anything else that belongs there inside your container.
And when you're ready.
Close the container.
Watch it see you.
Notice how secure it is.
And take a deep breath You have not abandoned this issue.
You have simply created space between yourself and it.
There's a difference.
You can care about something without thinking about it every second.
You can love someone without caring their emotions You can have a problem without becoming a problem.
You can have unanswered questions and still experience peace.
And you can return to something later with more clarity than you had when you were overwhelmed.
Now imagine taking your container and placing it somewhere safe.
Perhaps it's a beautiful show.
A peaceful room,
A sacred altar,
A secure vault,
A garden,
Or somewhere only you have access to.
Find the place that feels right and as you place your container there,
Remind yourself.
It is safe here.
I don't need to monitor it.
I don't need to check it.
I can return when the time is right.
And now.
Turn your attention back toward yourself.
Notice the space that has opened up inside of you.
Maybe your mind feels a little quieter.
Maybe your body feels a little lighter.
Maybe you simply feel more present.
Whatever you're experiencing is okay.
There's nothing you need to force.
Take a slow breath in.
And exhale.
Now imagine gathering your energy back into yourself.
Any energy you've been giving to worry.
Replying conversations Trying to predict the future.
Trying to control things out of your control Bring that energy home.
Imagine returning it to your heart.
Returning it to your body,
Returning it to you.
You might say.
My energy belongs to me.
I release what is not mine to carry.
I can care without caring everything I give myself permission to rest.
I trust myself to return what needs my attention when I have the capacity to do so.
Take another deep breath in.
Feel yourself becoming more centered,
More grounded,
More present.
Bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Feel your feet.
Your links.
Notice your hands.
Notice your breath.
Notice the surface beneath you.
And look around your environment when you're ready.
Remind yourself.
I am here.
This is now.
In this moment,
I am okay.
I don't have to solve everything today.
Take one final deep breath in.
And slowly exhale.
As you move forward with your day.
Remember that you have this tool available to you.
Whenever your mind becomes overwhelmed whenever you're carrying something that doesn't need your attention right now.
You can create your container.
You can place it inside.
You can close it and you can come back to yourself.
Because sometimes healing isn't about figuring everything out.
Sometimes healing is knowing that when to put something down so you can breathe,
So you can live so you can be present.
And so you can come back to yourself.
Take one breath in.
.
.
And release.
When you're ready.
Gently open your eyes.
Carry only what belongs to this moment.
Everybody knows,
Can we?
You are here.
You are grounded.
You are supported.
You don't have to carry it out.
