Welcome!

Let's take a moment to return to yourself.

This is a grounding meditation for stress and overwhelm.

Begin by sitting or lying down in a comfortable position.

Let your eyes gently close.

Place your hands over your heart or rest them in your lap.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it for a moment and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Let's do that again.

Inhale deeply.

Hold.

Exhale.

Let it all go.

With each breath feel yourself arriving more fully into this moment.

Now imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet or the base of your spine.

These roots gently move down through the floor into the earth deeper and deeper connecting you to the steady grounding energy of the earth.

Feel the energy rise back up through the roots,

Into your feet,

Your legs,

Your belly,

Into your heart.

Let this earth energy hold you,

Support you,

Calm you.

As you continue to breathe say silently or aloud,

I am safe.

I am supported.

I am grounded.

One more time.

I am safe.

I am supported.

I am grounded.

If your mind wanders simply return to the feeling of your breath and your connection to the earth.

Let any stress,

Tension or overwhelm melt down and out through those roots.

You don't need to carry it at all.

Let the earth transform it for you.

Breathe in calm.

Exhale release.

And now to close imagine the soft light surrounding your body.

A protective loving energy wrapping you in peace.

Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Bring your awareness back to the room and slowly open your eyes.

You are grounded.

You are clear.

You are ready.
