In the modern era that we live in,

We can easily get stuck in our heads and get caught in all sorts of thinking patterns or worrying about something continuously.

So in this short practice together,

We will have some time to allow our body,

Mind and spirit to relax.

And whenever you notice a worry or thought arise in your mind,

You're going to take a deep breath in through the nose and breathe a long,

Slow breath out through the mouth,

Like you're breathing out through a fine straw.

And as you breathe out,

You can blow the worry out into the environment and let it get taken away by the wind or dissolve away into space.

And as you blow out through your mouth,

See if you can notice your body softening and relaxing.

I'll guide you through it so you can just relax and enjoy.

So as we begin,

If you haven't already,

Find yourself somewhere comfortable to be.

Choose a body position where you feel awake enough that can allow your body to relax and be natural.

Gently close your eyes if you wish.

Slow your breathing down just a little and give yourself a moment to arrive.

With your eyes still closed,

Notice the room that you're in right now.

Becoming aware that right now you are right here,

Nowhere else.

There's nothing you need to be doing right now.

There's nowhere you need to be right now.

All you have to do is rest right here and you can let everything else go.

But of course,

You might notice pesky worries creeping in or you get pulled out to something you're worrying about.

So take a deep breath in and breathe a long,

Slow breath out through the mouth.

Blowing that worry out through your mouth and letting it get taken away by a gust of wind or dissolve away into space.

You can repeat that as many times as you like,

Letting your body deeply relax as you breathe out.

Begin to notice what you feel in your body.

Any sensations,

Feelings or energy in the body.

There's no expectation to notice anything specific.

Just notice what is present there right now for you in your body.

And let it just be as it is.

There's no need to stop or change anything or no need to get stuck in reflections around it.

Just awareness of what's there right now.

And again,

If you find yourself thinking about or worrying about something,

Take a deep breath in and a long,

Slow breath out.

Blowing the worry away,

Letting it dissolve away into space.

Leaving you feeling lighter and freer each time.

And allowing tension in your body to dissolve away too.

And allowing your body and mind to rest and relax.

You can keep doing that in your own time as much as you want.

A deep breath in and a long,

Slow breath out through the mouth.

Blowing the worry away and letting your body relax.

Enjoying the space and enjoying the relaxation in the body.

So as this short meditation together comes towards an end,

Allow yourself a few moments to rest in the quiet space of awareness that is there and enjoy it.

A great way to come back to presence and return to now. I often get lost in my head, and this is a good practice to help with that!
