Hi,
Darling.
You don't have to hold it all together right now.
You don't have to do anything.
You're here and that's enough.
Let's take a few moments to soothe our nervous systems,
To soften,
Settle,
And to let go of the tight grip we carry around all day.
Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly,
And feel the warmth of your own touch.
That's you,
Showing up for you.
Now close your eyes if that feels good,
Or just gaze softly at one spot.
Let's take a slow breath in through the nose,
And a long,
Easy sigh out the mouth.
Again,
Inhale gently,
And exhale like you're releasing a little tension.
One more time,
Inhale,
And exhale,
Letting your shoulders drop just a little.
Now,
You might not even realize how tight your jaw is.
See if you can soften it by unclenching your teeth.
Let your tongue fall from the roof of your mouth,
Relax your forehead,
Feel that.
That's your body saying thank you.
Now,
Bring awareness to your breath.
Is it shallow or stuck in your chest?
Let's see if we can bring it a little lower.
Imagine breathing all the way into your belly,
Filling it up,
And then emptying it out slowly.
No pressure to get it perfect.
This isn't a breath test,
It's just an invitation to slow down.
It's sending a message,
I'm safe,
I don't need to brace right now,
I can let go.
You're allowed to be soft,
You're allowed to rest,
And you're allowed to be here just as you are.
So stay with the breath,
Let each exhale guide you home,
And if your mind starts racing again,
Just notice it.
Then come back to the breath,
To your body,
To this moment.
You're doing enough.
You are enough.
Let's end with one more big inhale,
And a long,
Soft exhale,
Letting the weight of the world go.
You've soothed your system,
Darling.
Now carry that softness with you wherever you go next.
