Hi,
Darling,
If you're listening to this,
I want you to do one thing.
Get up and walk with me.
Even if it's just around your house.
Even if you're tired.
Even if you don't feel like it.
Just take a few steps.
You don't have to have everything figured out right now.
Just move your body and let me walk with you for a few moments.
This meditation moves with you.
Just begin to notice your pace.
Are you walking fast?
Or somewhere in between?
There's no right way.
Just notice.
Take a breath in through your nose and a breath out through your mouth.
And let your steps continue naturally.
Now bring awareness to your feet.
Each step,
One after the other.
You don't have to think about the whole walk,
Just this step.
If your mind is busy,
If it's running ahead or circling back,
That's okay.
Just gently bring yourself back to your steps.
Now take a slightly deeper breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let your shoulders drop just a little.
Keep walking.
If today feels heavy,
If something has been sitting on your mind,
Just notice that.
You don't have to solve it right now.
You don't have to carry it perfectly.
Just walk with it.
Now I want you to try something.
As you take your next few steps,
Quietly say in your mind,
Again,
As you take your next step,
I.
Even if that step is slow,
Maybe even messy,
Even if it's in your hallway or around your house,
You're still moving.
And even if it doesn't feel like progress,
Now notice your surroundings.
It doesn't have to look peaceful.
It doesn't have to look put together.
Let this moment be enough,
Enough to keep going even when it's hard.
Take a slow breath in.
Now I want to share something I wrote for you.
Even if you have to step in the mud to move forward,
Walk away with messy shoes,
It's better than staying stuck in it.
Let those words land within yourself and walk with you throughout.
You don't need to have it all figured out to keep going.
You don't need a perfect plan.
You just need this step and this one.
If your mind starts to drift again,
Just come back to your feet.
And softly say again,
I can keep going.
One step at a time.
Keep walking.
There is a strength in this.
Not a loud strength,
Not a perfect strength,
But a real strength.
A kind that shows up even when it's hard.
And as you continue your walk today,
Just remember,
You don't have to rush.
You don't have to have it all figured out.
You just have to keep going.
Thank you for taking me with you today.
For choosing to move instead of staying stuck.
Keep going,
Darling.
Step by step.
I'm right here with you.
