Okay,
So let's just start by.
.
.
Grounding the body.
Coming back home.
So wherever you are,
Just take your seats or lean back into the seat you're already in.
And we'll begin focusing on the area at the top of the head.
Which tends to be where our thoughts go,
Our attention goes.
Sometimes when we're leading too much with our mind and we're poised outward instead of leaning back into our sovereignty our minds kind of busy and we're trying to force engineer so i want you to just Let all of the to-do lists go.
And just notice where you are connected to different things in your life and imagine that each one of those things that you're connected to has a tendril or a ribbon or some kind of an attachment.
So we've got our obligations,
Our daily things,
The people in our lives.
The things we need to show up for.
Know that we can come back to them when we finish this practice but for now I want you to just let each of the tendrils that's connected to those things untie itself undo its silky knot and slip away.
And one by one just watch each of those silk threads fall back towards you.
So there's still movement,
There's still flexibility,
There's still space for us to go and re-engage,
But right now this practice is about coming back home.
So you can have a soft gaze or you can close down the eyes if you want and Maybe put one hand on the belly,
One hand on the heart,
Or hands on the body wherever they feel safest.
And just notice your breath.
No need to breathe in a certain way.
Smoothness Is it shallow?
Is it deep?
Do you need to bring more breath into the body?
Do you need to take a couple of clearing breaths?
So you need to do some exhales out through the mouth with the tongue sticking out a bit like a lion.
Do you need to gently turn the head?
From side to side to release the neck.
Do you need to roll the shoulders up?
And bye to giving the body what it needs as we move away from the head.
As we move away,
We'll step away for a moment from our obligations or expectations.
So we're just feeling everything soften.
That's all we're doing,
We're just softening,
Leaning back.
Coming home.
And let your attention travel from the head down through the back of the neck.
And let it rest on the shoulders.
And notice where you're carrying.
Things that aren't really yours to carry.
So what is the weight on your shoulders right now?
How does it feel?
We might even ask why we're carrying it there.
Is it ours?
Or is it someone else's?
Notice where you're carrying that weight.
Is it towards the back of the shoulders?
Is it more on the collarbones?
Is it actually on your back?
And can you put it down just for a moment?
Just like a rucksack or a bag you take off your shoulder.
Just set it down.
Mmm,
How does it feel?
And then let your energy come down,
Keep traveling down through the chest.
All the way down into the belly.
And then all the way down into the womb space or the pelvic bowl.
Keep the hand over the lower belly or the pelvic bowl if you'd like.
And now invite some deeper breaths into that area.
So really just.
Breathing into that space.
Maybe it feels like it's hard to breathe into that space because you haven't spent much time there lately.
Maybe it feels easy to breathe into that space.
Maybe this place feels safe for some of us,
Less safe for some of us,
But I just invite you to just linger here for a while.
Because this area is such a focus of power and centering for all of us.
And this area is really where all those tendrils come from.
So every time we're giving,
We're giving of our life force energy.
And it starts from here.
So each of those attachments,
Tendrils,
Sometimes obligations,
Sometimes unnecessary enmeshments.
Start from this place.
So if we can just come into a regular practice of realizing we don't need to be constantly attached to all of those things.
And we create a space where we just come home,
Soften back.
And let go.
Because it is safe to let go.
We can start to remember how it feels.
To be in our own energy.
We can start to remember how it feels to steep in our own essence.
We can start to remember.
What our sovereignty feels like.
If we've lost touch with it.
Because it's always there.
It's not something we need to go out and find.
It's living inside of us.
And all the things that are outside of us will always pull and you know,
Knock at the door and ask more and more of us.
Because we're human,
We're giving,
We're life-giving.
We want to be in contribution.
We want to be the naturist.
We want to be there for others.
Especially as women.
But a practice like this where you make space to feel what's yours and what someone else's helps you discern where you stepped from co-creation and giving from fullness over the line into giving from depletion and giving from obligation.
So just let all of that energy settle.
And we're just watching the energy.
Or any swirling energy that we had.
Slow down and settle and come to stillness at the bottom of our seat.
And you can lean back here,
You can rest.
This is your time.
And while we're here we can invite in the question which so many of us forget to ask.
Maybe because it feels selfish.
But it's actually the most important question we can ask every day.
What do I need right now?
What do I need right now?
Let your body speak and even if nothing comes up right now in the moment.
Because I find that for me too,
Sometimes it's not an instant answer.
It doesn't matter.
You've asked the question,
You've created the space,
You've shown up for the practice.
And just notice what happens through your day,
Or maybe through the next couple of days.
So a couple more moments here,
Just asking if you can allow your body to soften even just 5 or 10% more.
Softening back.
Gifting yourself.
This moment.
Then all we've really done here is created a space to drop in.
Create a conversation with the body.
Allowed ourselves to untie from anything that was pulling us externally,
Even just for a few minutes.
So simple,
But effective.
Come back to this any time you feel you need that point of grounding.
Before you let the tendrils start to move and go back to the things that are connecting you in your day-to-day life.
See if you can set the intention to reconnect with them from this place of fullness.
Rather than a place of obligation or expectation from somebody else?
How would it feel to reconnect with them?
From a grounded place of loving,
Aware fullness.
And just notice how that makes them feel different and maybe even notice if it makes some of them feel less relevant.
Slowly take a deep breath in through the nose when you're ready.
And a long exhale out through the mouth.
One more deep breath like that when you're ready in through the nose.
Exhale out through the mouth and slowly open your eyes.
Welcome back.
Thank you for showing up to practice today.
Many blessings.
