Thank you so much for joining me today for a birthday meditation.
So as you take your time to settle into a comfortable position,
Allow yourself to re-center and be right there in this moment with me.

I think birthdays can be this strange thing where you're sometimes closing a chapter,
Opening a new one,
And it can be very exciting and sometimes it can hold some happiness to it.
So what I'm doing here today,
It's my birthday as I'm recording.
I've just had a lovely morning jog and I'm using this time to come back to center and share this moment with you.
On days like today,
We can have the pressure to be so much with so much expectations.
Especially if you're celebrating a big number today,
Whether it's your 20s,
Whether it's 25,
30,
The big 40,
35,
Big 60,
There's always something.
There's something about having that special day where we do want to celebrate ourselves,
Yet we have this tremendous amount of pressure on our shoulders.
And what I want you to do right now is to sit or lay down in a comfortable position.
Close your eyes if it feels comfortable.
Take the time to take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And take a couple more on your own time.
Really,
This is your day.
This is really your day,
Your moment.
And on this big day,
You're doing what's best for yourself,
Showing up for you.
You're showing up,
Taking the time to be present with you.
Taking time to be present with ourselves is actually one of the most beautiful gifts that we could do to ourselves.
No more expectations on others to fill that void when you are there for you.
So take this time to be fully present or as much as you can.
If you feel called to,
You can put your hands on your heart.
Hold yourself a little dearly here.
Feel free to introduce some movement if you feel called to.
Kind of like a little cuddle to your heart.
A way to show it that you're there and that you're trying your best to be.
That you're conscious that this little heart can go through a lot sometimes.
And this is a moment as well to create this little bubble.
If you hear any noise in the background,
That's normal.
Peace can exist in the chaos.
That's what we're here to cultivate.
Just a moment to celebrate you,
No matter what is happening in your life right now.
No matter what you have gone through.
Just taking a moment to celebrate yourself.
I'd like you to think of a moment of your choice.
Something that you're quite proud of yourself for.
What is that thing that you're the most proud of?
The last 12 months,
There must be something,
At least one.
It can be as small as possible,
Can be as big as possible.
Was it that time you said no and set your boundaries straight?
Was it that time you decided to show up for yourself in a different way?
You started something new,
You took a risk.
Or maybe it's a time where you decided to choose your comfort.
You also deserve this.
What's something you're really,
Really proud about?
How does it feel?
How does it feel to think about this?
Maybe someone else was there with you celebrating your move.
Maybe you spoke to a friend about it.
Or maybe after that you just got home and you're like,
I'm going to lay down and I'm satisfied.
Give your heart a little squeeze there to remind yourself that you are here.
Just a tiny pressure for just half a second.
And you know,
I want you to allow gratitude to join this pride.
Allow gratitude to join this pride.
In the midst of the chaos of life,
You can celebrate these little moments.
And be grateful for them.
Be grateful for your courage.
Because it does take courage to carve this time to say,
I'm going to pause everything for a moment and just look after myself right here,
Right now.
Takes a tremendous amount of courage to celebrate yourself.
Takes a tremendous amount of courage to be there with yourself.
You can be proud just for the here and now.
Alongside the gratitude for yourself,
Think of three things.
Three things that you're the most grateful for right now.
What are three things that you are grateful for?
Something to do,
Something you get to do,
Maybe to celebrate.
Maybe the people that you're surrounded with.
Maybe somewhere you get to go to.
Or where you are right now.
Let this gratitude feeling flush your whole body with all possible worries,
With all possible things that can clutter your life right now.
Just be in this feeling that is coming up.
The gratitude,
The pride,
The celebration,
Celebrating life.
Life is this beautiful thing that comes with all the chaos,
That comes with all the peace,
If we dare to look for it.
It comes with so many textures.
And sometimes it's hard to accept them.
Yet in this moment,
Take the time to accept yourself on your special day.
And with a heart full of gratitude,
Take your time to come back to your body,
To come back to this presence that you've cultivated.
Good.
Shake your shoulders a little.
Leave them almost like in a little dance,
If you want to.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And get ready to celebrate yourself in so many other ways today.
You deserve it.
