This practice is there to pull you back in when everything gets overwhelmingly hard. Sometimes, things pile up on your plate and just seem a little too much to handle. It only takes a few minutes to find what's to love and be grateful for in what we have, but it takes to show up and carve that time. Sit back, relax, and give yourself permission to do so.

Hi Resilient Sunshine!

Thanks for joining me for today's gratitude practice.

And today's practice is for when things get a little heavy,

When everything starts being a little too much and overwhelming,

Nothing goes to plan,

Things keep piling up one after the other,

And it can get quite difficult to navigate these challenges,

Especially when everything seems to be happening all at once.

In this moment,

I invite you to find a comfortable position to either sit down,

Stay standing if it's comfortable for you,

Just take a moment to allow yourself to have a little bit of a pause,

And if you can,

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out.

And another one,

Just slowly breathe in for 1,

2,

3,

And hold 3,

2,

1,

And exhale for 1,

2,

3,

And hold at the bottom a little bit,

2,

1,

And another deep and slow breath for 4 seconds this time,

1,

2,

3,

4,

And hold for 4,

3,

2,

1,

And exhale slowly for 3,

2,

1,

Hold it there a few seconds,

3,

2,

1,

And a final deep breath in and out without count.

Going back to your normal breathing after this exhale,

I'd like to invite you to focus on one thing you are grateful for today,

One thing,

No matter how small or big it might be,

One thing that you are grateful for,

That you are able to do,

You are able to see,

Somewhere you're able to be,

Perhaps,

Sometimes it's just about remembering how grateful we are to be able to breathe on this day,

To see whatever surrounds us on this day,

To be able to move,

Walk,

Run,

Or exercise,

Or to just be able to sit down and pause.

One thing that might have opened an opportunity or maybe it was someone smiling at you in the street,

Maybe it's just being grateful to have the opportunity to be that one,

To be the one that smiles to others in the street,

Perhaps it's just being grateful for the people we have in our lives,

Being grateful for the friend who we call when everything gets overwhelming,

Perhaps it's this person close to us that we actually don't even need to speak to and with just one look can come over and give you a big hug,

And perhaps it's just being grateful that you can be this person that gives yourself a big hug,

You can squeeze your shoulders if this feels giving and be present with yourself as you showed up in your path this time to focus on the little positives hidden behind the overwhelming challenges of your day,

Take a deep breath in and out here,

Stay there a moment with yourself if the hug doesn't feel giving,

Feel free to put your hands over your heart,

Just hold yourself there for a moment,

Be grateful to even get a chance to have this time,

This time to reflect,

This time to recenter,

This time to be a little more loving towards ourselves,

Because we're so worth it,

This amazing self that we carry with us all day long,

This amazing self that has to face so many things,

Deserve this moment of calm and chaos,

Deserves to be nourished as gratitude flows through your body right now,

I will leave you until our next practice together with love and resilience.

Thank you
