This is a guided meditation for relationship difficulty,
Uncertainty.
And coming home to yourself.
First,
Settle into a position that feels supportive.
You may close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Or simply let your gaze become soft.
Begin by noticing that you are here.
Right here.
Perhaps there is someone in your life who feels very present in your mind right now.
A relationship may feel strained.
There may be distance between you.
A conversation may be unfinished.
You may feel hurt,
Confused,
Disappointed,
Angry.
Afraid.
Or simply uncertain about what comes next.
For the next few minutes,
You are not required to figure any of it out.
You don't have to decide whether the relationship should continue.
You don't have to repair it.
You don't have to understand what the other person is thinking.
There is nothing you need to solve right now.
Take a slow breath in.
And let it go.
Again,
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
Allow your body to receive the message that for this moment it can stop searching for an answer.
Notice where this relationship seems to live in your body today.
Perhaps you feel tightness in your chest.
Your stomach.
You're through.
Your shoulders.
Maybe there is pressure.
Heaviness.
Restlessness.
Sadness.
Or maybe you feel very little.
Whatever is here,
Simply notice it.
Silently offer yourself these words.
This is difficult because it matters to me.
When a relationship becomes uncertain,
So much of our attention can leave us.
We begin wondering.
What are they thinking?
Why haven't they answered?
Do they understand me?
Do I matter to them?
Will they stay?
Will we be okay?
Our awareness moves outward,
Searching inside another person's behavior for reassurance.
For a moment,
Imagine calling that attention home.
Bring it back from their thoughts.
Back from the last conversation.
Back from the last message you sent.
Back from what you wish had happened differently.
Back from the future your mind keeps trying to predict.
Slowly gather that energy back toward yourself.
You do not need access to another person's mind in order to find your own ground.
Feel what is supporting your body beneath you.
Feel your weight being held.
Take another full breath.
If it feels comforting.
Place a hand over your heart.
Chest or belly.
Ask yourself gently.
What is hurting in me right now?
There is no need to search for the perfect answer.
Let the first honest thing arise.
Perhaps the answer is.
.
.
I am afraid of losing someone.
I am afraid of not being seen.
I feel disappointed.
I wanted to matter differently.
I miss what we had.
I am angry and hurt.
I feel abandoned.
I feel confused.
Whatever appears,
Allow it to exist without correcting it.
Without persuading yourself that you shouldn't feel this way.
Now ask yourself another question.
What do I need from myself?
While this remains unresolved.
Maybe the answer is tenderness.
Space.
Rest.
A boundary.
Courage,
Patience.
Discernment.
And soothing.
Space to grieve.
Space to hope.
Permission not to know.
Whatever word comes to you,
Breathe with it.
Loving someone is not the same as leaving yourself behind in order to keep them.
Compassion is not the same as erasing yourself.
Listening is not the same as carrying everything alone.
And a relationship changing does not mean that what it gave you was meaningless.
Sometimes love calls us toward another person.
Sometimes it asks us to tell the truth.
Sometimes it asks us to create space.
Sometimes it asks us to release our grip.
And sometimes the wisest choice we can make is to remain still.
Into our own inner wisdom.
Becomes audible again.
You do not have to know which of those is true today.
Clarity does not always come from thinking harder.
Sometimes clarity begins.
When we become quiet enough.
To turn inward.
Listen to ourselves,
Rather than abandoning ourselves.
Now imagine a small steady light.
Somewhere inside you.
It does not need to be bright or dramatic.
Just steady.
A light that existed in you before this relationship.
A light that remains with you,
Whether someone understands you or not.
Whether someone stays or goes.
Whether this relationship becomes close again.
Or takes a form you cannot yet imagine.
This light belongs to you.
It is your life.
Your spirit,
Your inner essence.
Your capacity to love.
Your capacity to begin again.
Rest your attention there.
You do not have to stop caring.
In order to protect yourself.
You do not have to become untouchable.
You can simply remember.
I can love someone without leaving myself.
I can feel disappointed and still remain whole.
I can mourn what is changing without deciding that everything is lost.
I can allow another person to have their experience.
While remaining rooted in mind.
I do not need to chase clarity.
What I need to understand can reveal itself in time.
And now allow yourself to carry one question.
Not a question you have to answer before you end this meditation.
Purchase one to hold gently.
What does love look like?
When love includes me too.
Take a deeper breath in.
.
.
Slowly release it.
Begin noticing the room again.
Notice your body.
Notice the ground underneath you.
And remember that whatever happens between you and this person.
.
.
Your relationship with yourself continues.
Your life is still here.
The love within you is still here.
There is still a path forward,
Even if you cannot yet see exactly where it leads.
Take one more breath.
Silently say to yourself.
.
.
I return to myself.
I trust what becomes clear.
I listen to my intuition.
I trust my inner wisdom.
And I allow what is meant to change to change.
When you feel ready.
Gently open your eyes and return.
Namaste.
