This is a practice of listening to and repeating affirmations to enrich our lives and ease our medical symptoms and challenges. Affirmations are commonly encouraged and used in symptom management for many medical challenges, and studies show that patients who participate in listening to affirmations report less symptoms such as pain, nausea, drowsiness, depression, and anxiety than those who do not engage in any affirmations at all. May these affirmations bring you comfort and ease as you continue throughout your day.

Today we will be practicing listening to and repeating affirmations to enrich our lives and ease our medical symptoms and challenges.

While meditation has been a daily part of my spiritual practice for many years,

I have only recently started to practice affirmations following the birth of my daughter and then even more so since becoming diagnosed with breast cancer.

In fact,

In our family,

Affirmations have become a daily practice for us all.

Affirmations are commonly encouraged and used in symptom management for many medical challenges and studies show that patients who participate in listening to affirmations report less symptoms such as pain,

Nausea,

Drowsiness,

Depression,

And anxiety than those who do not engage in any affirmation practice at all.

So regardless of whether you are encountering a specific medical challenge at this moment,

All of us experience daily challenges in our lives that may leave us feeling physically and or emotionally depleted.

May these affirmations that my daughter helped me write bring you comfort and ease as you continue throughout your day.

Following each affirmation,

There will be a pause for you to say the affirmation aloud or in your mind.

It may also benefit you to listen to these affirmations passively when you wake up first thing in the morning or as you fall asleep at the end of your day.

I am important.

I am loved.

I am intelligent and I make the right decisions for myself.

My mind is alert and clear.

I am healing every single day.

I am brave and I will make it through this journey.

I am grateful for my strength and vitality.

I will get through this.

I will keep on living.

I am deeply connected to my life's purpose.

My life matters.

I deserve to live.

My life is meaningful and important.

I go with the flow of my life.

I allow and accept the cycles of my feelings.

I give myself time to process the changes that have come my way.

I accept and embrace my body.

I listen to my intuition.

I place my trust in the wisest part of me.

I adapt to the changes in my body with strength and grace.

I have the courage to face any challenge that comes my way.

I grow smarter and wiser with each experience.

I connect to my emotions,

Process them,

And let them go.

I honor my body's need to rest and recharge.

I trust my body's ability to heal and restore itself.

I am grateful for the body that I have.

I allow my body to take all the rest and support it needs.

All of my white blood cells are working together to heal me.

I trust my medical team.

I ask my care team for what I need.

People want to support me.

I am assertive with my medical team.

I speak up for myself.

What I feel matters.

I take charge of my treatment.

I trust myself to choose the treatment that is best for me.

I am surrounded by love and support.

Every problem has an answer.

I allow others to support me.

I learn from my mistakes.

My family and friends love me.

I believe in miracles.

I am worthy of a miracle.

I am deserving of a spontaneous remission.

I find peace and healing within the present moment.

I am creating space for something wonderful to happen.

I surrender to what I cannot control.

My body heals as I sleep.

I support my body with love,

Patience,

And care.

My sleep is restorative and re-energizing.

My body grows stronger every day.

My body is resilient.

My body has the power to heal.

My body is whole.

My body is always healing itself.

My body is constantly renewing itself.

My white blood cells are always regenerating.

My mind supports my body and my body supports my mind.

I nourish my body with healthy foods.

The food that I eat helps to heal me.

I go deep within myself to find my center.

I am grounded even in the midst of the unknown.

I am grateful to be alive.

I deserve to be alive.

I can do something each day that brings me joy.

I become more experienced with each challenge I encounter.

I am flexible and adapt to life's surprises.

My mind,

Body,

And spirit work together to heal me from the inside out.

My immune system grows stronger every day.

I live in gratitude knowing it boosts my immune system.

I enjoy exercising my body.

I become physically stronger every day.

I make healthy nutritious choices for my body.

I acknowledge my physical and emotional pain.

I celebrate how far I have come.
