Hello my friend,

Find yourself a comfortable place where your body can rest.

Let your shoulders soften,

Your jaw relax,

And let your hands rest gently by your side.

Take a long,

Slow breath in through your nose,

And a long,

Warm breath out through your mouth.

Again breathing in,

And breathing slowly out.

Now,

Imagine that you are standing at the edge of a wide,

Golden meadow.

The sun is low in the sky,

Wrapping everything in soft,

Honey-coloured light.

Wild flowers stretch as far as you can see,

Purple,

Yellow,

Blue and white flowers gently swaying in the breeze.

You step barefoot into the meadow,

The earth feels warm beneath your feet,

The air smells fresh and sweet.

And then you hear it,

A soft hum,

Bzzz,

Not loud,

Not scary,

Just a steady,

Peaceful humming sound.

Floating nearby is a little bee,

Its body is fuzzy and golden with black stripes,

Its wings shimmer like tiny pieces of glass in the sunlight.

It hovers in the air for a moment,

Almost as if it's looking directly at you.

Did you know bees can recognise patterns,

And even remember where their favourite flowers grow?

This little bee isn't lost,

It knows exactly what it's doing.

It gently lands on a bright,

Purple flower.

You move closer,

Watching carefully.

As the bee drinks nectar from inside the flower,

Tiny grains of yellow pollen stick to its fuzzy body.

Bees are very special because when they visit flowers like this,

They carry pollen from one flower to another.

This is called pollination,

And pollination helps plants grow seeds,

Fruits and vegetables.

Without bees,

Many of the foods we eat,

Like apples,

Almonds,

Berries,

Pumpkins,

Even cucumbers,

Would not grow as easily.

Imagine that.

Such a small creature,

Doing such important work.

Take a slow breath in,

And as you breathe out,

Imagine yourself shrinking down smaller and smaller until you are bee-sized too.

You feel light,

You feel tiny,

And you feel full of curiosity.

The little bee flies ahead,

And you follow.

You notice how it moves,

Not rushing wildly,

But dancing through the air with purpose.

Bees don't just collect nectar for themselves,

They bring it back to their hive.

Inside a hive,

Thousands of bees work together like one big team.

There are worker bees,

Queen bees,

And drones.

Each one has a role,

Each one matters.

Imagine arriving at the hive.

It hangs safely from a tree branch like a golden lantern.

The air hums softly with life.

Inside,

Bees create honey from the nectar they collect.

They fan their wings to cool the hive.

They care for the baby bees.

They build perfect hexagon shaped honey homes.

Did you know honey never spoils?

Scientists have found jars of honey thousands of years old that were still safe to eat.

Wow,

Such small creatures creating something so lasting.

You sit quietly near the hive,

Feeling its warmth.

The bees are not interested in hurting you.

They are busy,

They are focused,

And they are working for their home and for the earth.

And here is something important.

Bees are endangered in many places around the world.

Sometimes because of chemicals humans spray on plants.

Sometimes because they have lost their homes.

Sometimes because there are fewer wildflowers growing.

Without bees,

Many plants would struggle.

And without plants,

So many animals and humans would struggle too.

Bees help feed birds.

They help grow forests.

They help nourish the earth.

They are tiny protectors of mother nature.

Place one hand gently on your heart.

And take a slow breath in.

Then imagine sending a soft thank you to the bees.

Thank you for your work.

Thank you for your humming.

Thank you for your honey.

And thank you for helping flowers bloom.

Now imagine you plant a tiny seed in the meadow.

You water it.

You protect it.

You let it grow into a beautiful wildflower.

By caring for our gardens.

By planting flowers.

And protecting nature.

Together we help bees thrive.

And when bees thrive,

The whole world blooms too.

The little bee lifts into the air again.

Bzzz.

It circles you once.

Almost like a golden blessing.

And then it flies off toward the sunlit field.

You begin to grow back to your normal size.

The meadow stretches wide again around you.

The hum becomes softer.

More distant.

But the feeling remains.

Connection.

Gratitude.

Care.

Take one final deep breath in.

And slowly breathe it out.

Notice your body resting wherever you are right now.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Feel the air around you.

And remember.

Even the smallest beings can make the biggest difference.

And so can you.

When you are ready,

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

And carry the soft golden hum of kindness with you into the rest of your day.

Or into a peaceful sleep.

Bye for now,

My friend.
