Welcome,
Dear one.
I am so glad you're here.
In today's episode of Inner Haven Foundations,
We will be exploring the topic of learning to trust your body.
Before we begin Let's take a moment to arrive.
Notice your body and where it is.
Your awareness to the support beneath you Notice your inhale.
And your exhale Allow your shoulders to roll down and back away from your ears Allow your belly to release into whatever shape is natural Notice that nothing is being asked of you right now.
Just being here is enough.
Today,
We're gently exploring something many of us need to hear.
Your body is not the problem.
So often we're taught to believe that our bodies are broken.
Too sensitive,
Too reactive,
Too much.
But what if your body has been doing its very best to keep you safe?
Every response your body has makes sense when you understand what it's been through.
Tension,
Restlessness,
Shutting down,
Hyper alertness These are not flaws.
They are protective responses.
Your body learned these patterns to help you survive,
To help you cope,
And to help you keep going.
There's nothing to fix here.
Only something to understand.
When we see the body as the problem.
We push harder.
We judge more.
We try to override its signals.
But when we see the body as wise,
Everything changes.
We begin to listen,
We soften our approach,
And we meet ourselves with kindness instead of force.
If it feels good to you,
See if you can place a hand somewhere that feels supportive on your body Maybe your chest,
Your belly,
Your thighs.
Anywhere that feels good.
Let your touch be gentle Your body is not working against you.
It is working for you.
Even when it doesn't feel that way.
You're not behind.
You're not failing.
You are simply responding.
And that matters.
When your heart races,
Your shoulders tighten,
Or your mind feels busy,
Your body isn't being difficult.
It is sending signals.
Signals that say,
I'm trying to protect you.
I'm paying attention.
I learned this for a reason.
Your body reacts the way it does because of what it has experienced,
Not because something is wrong with you.
And when you can start to understand that,
You don't have to fight your body anymore.
You can slow down You can listen You can respond with care instead of pressure This is where the healing begins.
Not by forcing change,
But by building trust.
Little by little,
Your body learns that it is safe now.
That it doesn't have to work so hard.
That you are paying attention And that is enough for today.
Let's take one more breath together,
Slowly and gently inhaling And slowly exhaling We'll end here for today.
As you move back into your day,
See if you can carry this knowing with you.
Your body is not the problem.
It deserves care.
It deserves patience.
It deserves gentleness.
You are welcome here,
And you belong here,
And I'll meet you again in this next moment of rest.
Thank you for being here with me today.
