Hello and welcome to Inner Haven Somatic Meditations.
I am Megan and I am so honored to be with you in this moment.
This practice is a soft landing,
A quiet return to your inner landscape.
To slow down and listen within.
A return to your breath,
Your body,
And the subtle rhythms that live beneath the surface There's nothing to fix here,
Nothing to force,
Only the simple invitation to feel,
To listen,
And to be.
Before we begin,
I'd like to invite you to resource yourself.
This is just a gentle check-in with your body,
Asking yourself what might make me feel just 1% more supported right now.
Maybe you'd like to grab a blanket,
Adjust your seat.
Take a sip of water or even step away for a moment.
Letting yourself tend to your needs with kindness and care letting yourself take up space.
You can pause here if you need.
Come back whenever you feel ready,
Resourced,
And nourished.
Now that you've resourced,
Take a moment to find a comfortable position You might be sitting on a cushion or chair,
Lying down or leaning against a wall Let your spine feel supported.
Let your body be held.
Before you close your eyes,
Let's take a moment to orient to the space around you Very slowly begin to let your gaze move around the room.
There's no rush.
Letting your eyes land gently on whatever they see noticing colors,
Shapes light,
Shadows,
All the little details you may overlook.
Looking above you behind you and below you letting your space greet you There's nothing to judge here.
Just noticing,
Just arriving Let your body sense,
I am here and this is now When that feels complete,
You're welcome to soften your gaze or gently close your eyes if that feels safe and supportive.
Take a breath in through the nose.
And sigh it out through the mouth.
Let your breath become a wave Soft and steady.
Rising and falling Begin to let your body gently rock maybe forward and back or side to side?
Small soothing movements like you're being rocked by the ocean Let your spine move like water.
Fluid,
Curious,
Alive.
There is no right way here.
Just your way.
If you're standing or seated upright,
You might let your hips begin to circle.
Ever so slowly like stirring warm tea in your center If you're lying down,
Feel your pelvis gently shifting rooting into the ground swaying with gravity now bring your attention to your hands Let them find your body Maybe brushing over your arms,
Your chest,
Your belly Let it be soft.
Let it be loving Let it be sacred.
Breathe into the place where your hands rest inhale and silently whisper,
I am here And on your exhale silently say,
I am listening.
Again,
Inhale,
I am here.
And exhale,
I am listening letting sound arise if it wants to a sigh,
A hum.
A soft exhale that says I exist and I am allowed to take up space.
If it's available to you today,
Begin to move with your breath Inhale,
Opening,
Lifting and expanding And exhale,
Melt,
Soften,
And surrender.
Whatever this looks like for you,
Allow it to be here.
Again,
Inhale,
Opening,
Lifting,
And expanding.
And exhale,
Melt,
And surrender.
Doing this for a few more moments.
A slow sensual dance between your breath and your body allowing any other movement that feels nourishing to come through.
A shoulder roll,
A stretch,
A reach toward the sky or toward the earth Even the smallest gesture is enough Letting your eyes soften Feeling the breath moving you feeling the skin you live in and the heartbeat of life inside of you.
You are not performing here.
You are returning.
This is love in motion.
Leaving you to intuitively move for a few more moments on your own Gently start to slow your movements As your movement begins to slow,
Begin to find stillness again allowing any last movements to come through that are here or alive for you.
If it feels good letting your hands rest on your body Maybe your heart or your belly.
Feeling the warmth,
Presence.
And connection.
Taking three long,
Loving breaths,
Letting each one anchor you deeper into yourself Inhale And exhale.
Thank you.
And exhale One more time,
Inhale And that's you.
If it feels supportive to you.
I invite you to whisper inwardly the following three times to yourself.
I am here.
I am safe.
I am love.
I am here.
I am safe.
I am love.
I am here.
I am safe I am love.
Feel free to stay as long as you like,
There is no hurry to return.
But when you are ready to return,
Do so gently.
Letting your eyes slowly flutter open letting your breath guide you back letting your space meet you softly Gently fluttering your eyes open Reorienting back into your space Letting the room come to you.
Ever so slowly looking around your room.
Noticing what's above.
Below.
Around you.
And when you feel complete Take one final breath in and a full exhale to close your practice Thank you for being here Thank you for listening and learn.
And may this tenderness ripple into everything you touch today.
