Find your seat.
Spine upright,
Not tense,
Just tall.
Chin level.
Feet flat on the floor.
Rest your hands open on your thighs.
Close your eyes.
And when you're ready,
Gently lift your gaze.
Not your head,
Just your gaze.
Up toward the point between your eyebrows.
Soft.
Easy.
No strain.
Stay there.
Let that be your anchor point for this entire practice.
Every time your mind wanders,
That's where you come back to.
Take a natural breath in and let it go.
We're about to wake the body up from the inside.
Place one hand on your stomach.
Most men breathe from the chest all day.
Shallow,
Tight,
Reactive.
We're going deeper than that right now.
Breathe in through the nose.
Hold.
And breathe out.
Stomach comes back in.
Long and complete.
In through the nose.
Belly first.
Feel it expand.
Hold.
Out.
Slow.
All the way.
One more.
In.
Belly out.
Chest follows.
Hold.
Out.
Chest releases.
Belly draws in.
This is your foundation breath.
The one your body was built for.
Now we expand that.
The complete breath.
Breathe in.
Belly first,
Then let the chest rise and fill all the way to the top.
Hold for just a moment at the top.
Now exhale.
Chest releases first,
Then the belly draws all the way in.
Empty it completely.
In.
Belly,
Then chest.
Full and complete.
Two thirds of your lung capacity lives in the lower lung.
Most men never touch it.
Every complete breath you take is reclaiming energy your body already has.
It's just been waiting for you to access it.
One more complete breath.
Make it intentional.
Hold at the top.
Full release.
Now we build power.
The double breath.
A short,
Sharp inhale through the nose,
Followed immediately by a long,
Strong inhale.
Then a short,
Sharp exhale through the mouth,
Followed by a long,
Strong exhale all the way out.
Keep your gaze lifted.
Stay anchored between the eyebrows.
That's what keeps you centred through this.
Let's go.
Short,
Sharp in,
Then long,
Strong in.
Short,
Sharp out,
Then long,
Strong out.
All the way.
Again.
Short in,
Long in.
Short out,
Long out.
Empty,
Empty.
One more.
Short in,
Long in.
Feel everything.
Short out,
Long out.
Complete release.
Now just be still.
Don't move.
Don't adjust.
Feel that.
That aliveness in the body.
That clarity.
That's not a trick.
That's oxygen.
That's energy.
That's what your body can do when you give it the right conditions.
Bring your awareness now to the centre of your chest,
Behind the physical heart.
Deep in there.
That's where we finish.
Breathe in and imagine the breath moving into that space from every direction,
Like light being drawn inward from all sides.
Breathe out and let it radiate back out in every direction,
Like a signal being sent.
Breathe in,
Drawn from every direction,
Into the heart.
Out,
Expanding outward from the heart.
Stay here for a moment,
Gaze still lifted.
A quiet sense of thankfulness,
Not forced,
Just open.
Grateful for the body,
For the breath,
For the fact that you showed up for yourself today.
Take one final complete breath.
In.
Belly,
Chest,
All the way full.
And release.
Long,
Slow,
Complete.
Gently open your eyes.
