Hello and welcome back to the Meditation and Me Hub.
If you're listening to this meditation this is part of our Open Your Heart section in the Meditation and Me Hub and this is a chance for you to really tap into your heart space and feel that warmth of love cultivating your body and release any emotional tension and just to help your body relax and recenter.
So before we begin I would like you to either take a seated position or lying down on your mat just getting nice and comfortable and as we begin I want you to just take a nice deep breath in through your nose and take a big sigh out through your mouth just releasing the breath and we'll do a few of these deep breaths breathing all the way in and all the way out.
Just taking a gentle scan down through our body just bringing your awareness into your eyes the back of your eyes closing down your eyelids softly just allowing your face to relax just pressing that toe on the back of your teeth softening your jaw your cheeks just allowing everything to melt and then bringing your awareness down into your shoulders through your arms to your hands and your fingers just making sure everything's relaxed and then bringing your awareness down through your chest into your belly feeling that rising full of your breath breathing in and breathing out bringing your awareness down to your hips thighs knees ankles and toes taking a nice deep breath all the way in and all the way out sinking your body down into the earth and as you continue your breath feeling your body sink I'm going to guide you through a process to release your heart chakra this may include some visualizations of colors and sensations in the body and just use your imagination to guide you to release and to lift that heaviness from your chest and your heart so as you follow your breath I want you to bring your awareness into your mind's eye in the center of your forehead and I just want you to cultivate that energy between your eyebrows and on your in-breath you feel that energy and as you exhale you're gonna bring that energy down through your throat down into your chest I feel that warmth of your breath as you exhale I'm gonna repeat this a few times breathing in cultivating the energy between your eyebrows and then exhaling and bringing that energy down through your throat down and wrapping around your heart connection of our breath through our center our spine and this is just helping to reconnect our heart space back into our body into our breath just feeling into that heart how does it feel is there any heaviness as you breathe in or tightness in your chest or do you feel love warmth and whatever they that may be just use that breath to guide you to open your heart space and we're going to continue those breaths bringing that awareness into the mind's eye and this time you're gonna visualize the color green start to form so you breathe in between your eyebrows when you stay here just follow that breath naturally rise and falling and just start to imagine the color green swirling between your eyebrows becoming brighter and bigger it can be any shade of green that you with if you want to imagine the color of the forest leaves or the grass and every time you breathe this green light starts to grow and swell bigger and bigger you can start to move that green energy just like we did before breathing in feeling it rise and grow with energy and expansion and as you exhale taking it down through your throat to your heart and wrapping it around your chest a nice warm hug that green light and just do this as many times as you wish and every time that green light wraps around your heart space your chest expands further your heart opens you are safe you are safe to rest your chest here you are safe to soften your heart even though it may hold pain and grief you deserve to rest your heart and feel the love that warm hug of your heart holding your body holding your essence the love for yourself every beat of every minute your heart supports your very being and it deserves this chance to rest the chance to open free into the world into your soul yourself just following that breath with your green light and just open open yourself to the world and what if you did just open your heart just a little bit more imagine what you could create imagine the experiences you could have if you let pain fear and grief set aside and you let your heart open and love take over love guide you back to your happiness your joy your freedom and just allow some peace in this space for you to feel your chest rise and fall with each breath and the expansion of your energy grows bigger with each breath each breath of green light take it up to the sky beam your heart up into the world feel any sensations or feelings arise at this time and feel them in your heart you may want to cry and release or you may want to place your hands on your heart and just hold yourself here in this moment cherishing your very heart's being just release let go let go of any fear any heaviness in your chest right now and just be present with this calm stillness your heartbeat slowing down resting peacefully and when you're ready just bring your awareness back to your body feeling the sensations of your fingers your toes you might want to give yourself a nice big warm hug in this moment and just feel your arms wrap around your body and just send all the love for yourself now while your heart is open feel your skin touch your skin and the warmth of your body hold you in this space and just slowly bringing yourself back to the room blinking your eyes open just reawakening and moving into your day trying to remember this place where your heart was open the fear sets aside and that love takes over and this is a place where we can create freedom in ourselves and through our lives maybe practice hugging a friend and feeling your heart's touch as you hug each other
