Fathers.
I made this meditation for you because even the strongest of men need space to heal.
And to feel appreciated.
You are loved.
And this is a thank you.
For all that you are.
We're going to calm your nervous system.
I really want you to embrace this time to yourself.
Allow relaxation to wash over you.
Close your eyes.
Getting comfortable in a place you won't be disturbed.
When you became a father.
Your whole world.
Was robbed.
And you were required to be stoic.
To find courage.
Even though you were often,
At times,
Terrified.
It can be lonely when your loved ones are so vulnerable.
This need to hold everything together is stressful.
And that stress works its way into your body over time.
Thinking about your well-being now.
Ask yourself.
How am I?
How am I doing?
And how does your body feel.
Are there any parts of your body that you need to adjust?
Relax.
Take a deep breath in.
Really filling your lungs.
Hold the air for three,
Two,
One,
And now breathe out slowly.
Let's do that again.
Take a deep breath in,
This time expanding your rib cage.
Hold for three,
Two,
One,
And now release slowly out.
Again and this time I want you to breathe into your stomach really low down.
In.
Hold for 3,
2,
1.
And now,
Breathe out.
Let's do that one more time,
Taking breath slowly down into the lowest part of your stomach.
N.
Hold for 3,
2,
1 and slowly release out.
Feel how quickly your body is accepting this change of pace.
And how much you needed just to stop for a moment.
I'd like you to imagine.
That you are standing in the rain.
Really feel the rain hitting your forehead.
Your nose.
Your shoulders.
Your chest.
Right down to your toes.
Forget the consequence of getting wet.
Forget the need to shelter or protect.
And just say.
Okay,
Rain.
I allow you to completely soak me.
You are free.
Do you remember the boy you were?
Before you had responsibilities.
Is still within you,
You know.
That boy.
He shows his face when you play with your own children now.
When you make them laugh.
He's a core part of the Incredible Father.
That you have grown to be.
And it's okay if you feel scared sometimes,
Just as he does.
It doesn't make you any less of a man.
In fact.
It makes you more powerful.
Thank you for your resilience.
For loving every version of us.
As we stitched ourselves back together,
Thread by thread.
Thank you for holding on.
Both to our hands and to our dreams.
Thank you for your integrity.
And for building a roof above our heads during storms.
For staying rooted in your fun.
In your passions.
And in your heart.
You are a hero to us,
You know.
Every time you walk in the room.
You set the example of what a man,
A father should be with your presence.
And one day,
When you are old and you look back at this chapter of your life,
I hope you feel proud that you spent it this way.
The imprint that you leave on our lives is infinite.
And you are everything that we need you to be.
Being far from you is like falling out of orbit.
For you are the gravity.
Allowing us.
To be stars.
Take a moment now.
To reset your focus.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
And bring your attention to the room that you are in.
As you open your eyes.
Here's what you need to hear today.
We are so proud to be yours.
Thank you for everything.
Until the next time.
