HRV Breathing
by Matt Spaid
Take five minutes to slow down, breathe, and find your rhythm. In this simple guided practice, you’ll breathe in and out through your nose, following a bell that sounds every six seconds. This creates a steady rhythm of five breaths per minute. This pace is close to what’s known as the **resonance breathing rate** for many people. At this rate, your breathing and heart rate rhythms work together, supporting heart rate variability (HRV) and your body’s ability to settle. With regular practice, slow breathing can become a familiar tool for managing stress, improving awareness, and returning to a calmer state throughout your day.Find a comfortable position and let your breath flow smoothly, without forcing it. Three bells mark the beginning and end of the practice.
