Welcome,

Dear friend.

Find a comfortable position,

Whether seated or lying down,

And allow your body to settle into this moment.

Take a deep breath in,

Feeling your lungs expand,

And as you exhale,

Feel yourself releasing any tension or worries you may be carrying.

As we begin this journey of expanding awareness,

Imagine your consciousness as a gentle,

Radiant light at the center of your being.

With each breath,

This light grows brighter,

More expansive,

Reaching out beyond the boundaries of your physical form.

Let's start by grounding ourselves in the present moment.

Feel the weight of your body against the surface supporting you.

Notice the points of contact,

Your feet on the floor,

Your back against the chair,

Or your body resting on the earth.

These sensations anchor you in the here and now.

Now,

Gently shift your attention to the sounds around you.

Without labeling or judging,

Simply notice the symphony of life unfolding.

Let these sounds come and go,

Like waves lapping at the shore of your awareness.

As you continue to breathe naturally,

Expand your awareness to include the sensations in your body.

Notice any areas of warmth or coolness,

Any tingling or pulsing.

Perhaps you feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest,

Or the subtle movement of air at your nostrils.

Allow all these sensations to coexist in your field of awareness,

Without needing to focus on anyone in particular.

Now,

Let your awareness expand even further,

To include your thoughts and emotions.

Watch as they arise and pass away,

Like clouds drifting across a vast sky.

There's no need to engage with them or push them away.

Simply observe their coming and going with gentle curiosity.

As your awareness continues to expand,

Imagine it extending beyond the confines of this room,

This building,

This immediate environment.

Feel your consciousness stretching out,

Embracing the world around you,

The trees swaying in the breeze,

The birds soaring through the sky,

The earth spinning on its axis,

All held in the spaciousness of your awareness.

In this expanded state,

You might notice a sense of interconnectedness with all things.

The boundaries between you and not you begin to blur.

You are the observer,

And you are also that which is observed.

All is contained within the vastness of your consciousness.

If at any point you feel overwhelmed or lost,

Gently return your focus to your breath.

Let it be an anchor,

Grounding you in the present moment while still maintaining this expanded awareness.

Now,

Let your consciousness expand even further,

Beyond the earth,

Into the cosmos.

Imagine your awareness stretching out to encompass the planets,

The stars,

The galaxies.

Feel the immensity of space,

The dance of celestial bodies,

All held within your expanded consciousness.

In this vast expanse of awareness,

You might notice a profound sense of peace,

A recognition that you are both infinitesimally small and infinitely large,

A part of everything,

And everything a part of you.

As you rest in this expanded state of consciousness,

Allow yourself to simply be.

There's nothing to do,

Nowhere to go.

You are complete,

Whole.

Perfect in this moment of pure awareness.

Take a few moments to bask in this expansive state,

Feeling the boundaries of your being dissolve into the infinite.

Now gently begin to bring your awareness back.

Like a bird circling home,

Let your consciousness slowly return to your immediate surroundings.

Feel the sensations in your body,

The sound of your breath,

The weight of your form.

As you come back to yourself,

Know that this expanded state of awareness is always available to you.

It's not something you need to create or achieve,

But simply remember and return to.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Open your eyes if they've been closed.

Bring this sense of expansiveness with you as you transition back into your day.

Remember,

You are not separate from the world around you,

But an integral part of its beautiful,

Intricate tapestry.
