Hello friends,
This is Mandeep and welcome to the next meditation in our chakra series.
Today we're going to work on the third eye chakra.
Balancing the third eye chakra.
To begin the meditation you can arrive in.
Any comfortable position.
You could be seated.
You could be lying down.
You can have a little support behind you.
You could be on a chair.
Or you could be on the ground.
Whatever position.
Is comfortable enough.
To sustain throughout the practice.
Once you arrive in your position,
You can choose to keep your eyes open.
Or you may close your eyes.
And then begin to connect with their surroundings.
Connect with where you are.
The more familiar your mind is in its surroundings.
The safer the mind feels.
Listen to the sounds around you.
Feel the textures underneath you.
Maybe connect with the smells.
That are coming to you.
Then slowly,
Slowly bring your focus.
To your physical body.
Noticing any parts of your physical body calling your attention.
Maybe you want to get.
Little bit more comfortable.
Maybe you want to move a certain part.
And then let it settle.
Now take your focus towards your breath.
Began by observing the breath.
Just observing the breath.
Maybe the breath starts changing as you observe.
Let that happen.
And then watch how the breath settles back.
To a natural pace,
To a natural rhythm.
Just stay with the natural pace of your breathing.
And then begin working with the breath,
Taking a slightly longer inhale.
Taking a slightly slower exhale.
Do that again,
Longer breath in.
A slow breath out.
Two more rounds,
Work with the breath.
Now we'll move into our breath work.
Today's breath work is the humming breath.
So you will take an inhale through your nose,
And then on the exhale,
Your lips are sealed,
Your teeth apart,
And you'll sound hmm sound throughout the exhale.
So here we go.
Take a long breath in,
Fill up as much as you can.
And then lips sealed,
Teeth apart,
Sound a hum.
When you complete the exhale,
Again take a breath in.
Hum on the exhale.
Again,
Inhale,
Fill up.
Hum on the exhale.
Two more rounds on your own.
Whenever you complete the second round,
Let the breath settle.
Returning back to a natural pace,
A natural rhythm.
Notice if there's anything different.
You feel about the breath.
Are about the energy in your body.
Now bring your focus to the base of your spine.
We will move through all seven chakras,
Welcoming all seven chakras to the practice today.
And then we will settle in the third eye chakra.
Focus on the base of your spine.
The seed of your first chakra,
The root chakra is base of your spine.
As you focus on this area,
The root chakra starts waking up.
As the root chakra awakens.
It radiates a red light.
Move further up towards your navel.
Couple inches below the navel is the seat of your second chakra.
The sacral chakra.
Focusing on this area.
Awakens your sacral chakra.
As the sacral chakra awakens,
It radiates an orange light.
Now move further up towards the upper abdomen.
Upper abdomen is the seat of your third chakra,
The solar plexus chakra.
Focusing on the upper abdomen awakens the solar plexus chakra.
As the solar plexus chakra awakens,
It radiates a yellow light.
Now move further up towards your chest.
Upper chest is the seat of your fourth chakra,
The heart chakra.
Focusing on the upper chest awakens your heart chakra.
As the heart chakra awakens,
It radiates a green light.
Now move further up towards your throat.
Throat is the seed of your 5th chakra,
The throat chakra.
Focusing on this part of your body.
Awakens the throat chakra.
Once the throat chakra awakens,
It radiates a blue light.
Now move further up towards your forehead.
Center of your forehead is the seat of your sixth chakra.
The third eye chakra.
Focusing on the center of your forehead awakens the third eye chakra.
As the third eye chakra awakens,
It radiates a purple or indigo light.
Now move to the top of your head.
The top of your head is the seat of God.
The seventh chakra.
Known as the crown chakra.
Focusing on this part of your body awakens the crown chakra.
And as the crown chakra awakens,
It radiates a pure white light.
Sitting at the crown chakra,
Look down upon your spine.
And feel the presence of all seven chakras in the practice today.
They're all shining in their own light.
Some are dim,
Some are brighter,
Some are barely there.
But all your chakras are here to support you today.
Now return back to the third eye chakra.
Center of the forehead.
We will warp.
On the third eye chakra today.
Balancing the third eye chakra.
Center of your forehead.
Start by relaxing the area around your forehead.
And connecting with the color associated with this chakra.
And the color is purple.
Purple color represents wisdom and intuition.
So feel the purple color getting brighter and brighter.
Feel the purple color filling the whole forehead.
Strengthening your connection with wisdom.
Strengthening your connection with intuition.
Visualize the purple color.
Now each chakra is also associated with a symbol.
The symbol for the third eye chakra is a two-petalled lotus flower.
And inside that an inverted triangle.
So visualize this symbol,
Two-petaled lotus flower.
And inside that an inverted triangle.
You can visualize this symbol in the color purple.
Sitting at the seat of your third eye chakra.
The two petals represent the duality.
The duality between your consciousness and the universal consciousness.
The inverted triangle represents.
Enlightenment.
Connection to the divine.
For a few more moments.
Visualize this symbol along with what it represents.
To strengthen your connection with the third eye chakra.
Now the element that's associated with the third eye chakra is light.
The element light.
That represents inner vision or clarity.
So maybe connect with where you feel the element light.
It could be what your eyes are perceiving,
Even though they're closed.
It could be what your eyes are trying to see.
Especially because they are closed.
Instead of vision.
Coming up for you.
Connect with the element of light.
Now to further strengthen the third eye chakra,
We can make a hand mudra or a hand gesture.
The Mudra associated with Third Eye Chakra is known as Gyan Mudra.
Gyan means wisdom,
So basically mudra for wisdom.
To arrive in this mudra,
You'll turn your palms up.
If you're sitting,
Rest them on your thighs.
If you're lying,
Just place them alongside your body.
Turn your palms up.
And then connect your thumb to the index finger.
Connect your thumb to the index finger.
Let the rest of the fingers stay open.
And this is.
The Gyan Mudra.
Connecting your consciousness to the Universal Consciousness.
Connecting with your inner wisdom.
Return back to your breath.
While holding on to this mudra,
We're going to work with the vibration that's associated with third eye chakra.
And the vibration is.
Show.
I'm going to chant it five times.
You're welcome to chant it with me or you can just listen.
That's fine as well.
Here we go,
Take a long breath in,
Fill up.
And on the exhale.
Shalom.
Focus on the vibrations.
In the center of the forehead again inhale.
So.
.
.
Breathe in.
So.
.
.
Deep breath in.
Sure.
Last one,
Inhale.
So.
.
.
Let the breaths return back to neutral.
While you stay focused.
On the third eye chakra.
Connecting with the energy you're sensing.
Around the third eye chakra.
If you wish to hold on to the mudra for the remaining of the practice,
You may.
Ready to release the mudra and turn your palms back down.
That's fine as well.
And then just stay with the third eye chakra.
Focusing on the third eye chakra.
Listening to the wisdom of the third eye chakra.
Notice any emotions that are coming up.
Notice if you are finding your blocks.
In the third eye chakra.
What's blocking the energy of this chakra?
From flowing freely.
What's blocking you from connecting with your intuition.
Maybe a past experience,
Maybe a past belief.
Maybe someone said something.
Reflect on those blocks.
Once you realize what those blocks are.
Maybe you start releasing them.
You could do it through your exhale,
If you exhale with an open mouth.
Maybe you.
Release them by reminding yourself.
By repeating it in your mind,
I am releasing this block.
You can also release them by physically relaxing the area of your forehead.
If there's.
Any other wisdom.
That's coming through.
Your third eye chakra.
Just listen to the guidance.
Lastly,
Notice the attachments to your third eye chakra.
Usually people are attached to your chakra through cords.
These people could be the ones who you helped in the past.
Connect with their wisdom.
It could be the people who said something that blocks your access to your intuition.
Just see.
If there are any people drawing the energy from your third eye chakra.
Once you recognize who these people are,
You slowly detach these cords from the chakra and let them fly away from you.
Free the chakra from all attachments.
Now feel the chakra fully balanced.
Radiating.
In its brightest purple color.
You can repeat some affirmations.
In your mind.
I am aligned.
I am intuitive.
I am connected to my inner wisdom.
Now look towards all the other chakras,
The ones below.
The one above.
Thank the chakras for being here today to support you.
And say a big thank you to your third eye chakra for helping you see.
Which you couldn't earlier.
Let the chakras calm down and you return back to your breath.
Return back to the moment that you're in.
Connect with their surroundings.
The sounds you hear.
The textures you feel.
Want to make any movements in the physical body.
Once you feel fully present in the moment,
You bring your hands to heart center.
And gently bow down to close the practice.
Namaste.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
See the room that you're in.
And this was the practice of third eye chakra.
I'll see you guys for the next one next time.
