Hello and welcome to the third meditation in the chakra series.
Today we'll work on the solar plexus chakra.
Please arrive in a comfortable position.
You could be seated,
You could be lying,
You could be supported,
Unsupported,
Whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Once you arrive in your chosen seat,
You may close your eyes or have a soft gaze to begin the practice.
Now start connecting with the space that you're in.
If your eyes are softly open,
Just gaze what's around you,
What are you looking at.
If your eyes are closed,
Then just feel,
Just sense whatever the eyes are perceiving being closed.
Any warmth from the light outside or maybe just darkness.
Connect with whatever the eyes are perceiving,
Slowly moving your focus towards your breath,
Noticing the breath moving in and out of the body,
Becoming the observer of your breath,
Not making much effort,
But just trying to observe and notice how the breath moves in and out,
Feeling the body expand on the inhale,
Relax on the exhale,
Just feeling,
Not changing,
Not deepening,
Just feeling the breath in your body.
Gently noticing the abdomen expanding and closing and see if you can make the breaths even more subtle,
So the abdomen moves to one-fourth of its capacity,
So not the deepest breath,
But not fast either,
A slow gentle expansion of the abdomen,
Gentle relaxation of the abdomen and then take the focus away from the abdomen and focus on the breath in your nostrils.
Just feel the air entering the nostrils and leaving the nostrils.
Notice if you feel anything as the air enters and as the air leaves and continue focusing on the breath in your nostrils and bring your palms facing up,
You can rest them on your knees or thighs and if you're lying down,
You can rest them alongside your body,
Palms facing up.
Now we'll move into a breath work known as Surya Bhedana using a little bit of visualization.
So visualize the breath entering your right hand,
Going up your right arm,
Into the right nostril,
Center of the forehead and visualize the exhale out the left nostril,
Down the left arm,
Out the left hand.
Again inhale through the right hand,
Up the right arm,
Into the right nostril,
Center of the forehead,
Exhale out the left nostril,
Down the left arm,
Out the left hand.
Inhale through the right hand,
Up the right arm,
Into the right nostril,
Center of the forehead,
Exhale out the left nostril,
Down the left arm,
Out the left hand.
Do two more rounds on your own and when you complete,
Allow your breaths to settle,
Taking few breaths through both nostrils.
This breath work helps us connect with the power of the sun,
Surya.
Now we'll move through all the chakras,
Welcoming and awakening all the chakras into the practice today and then we'll rest in the solar plexus chakra to further activate the solar plexus chakra.
So focus on the base of your spine.
Just focus on the base of your spine,
The seat of the first chakra,
Root chakra.
As you focus on this part,
The root chakra slowly opens,
Slowly awakens,
Radiating a nice bright red color and then you move a little further up towards the navel,
A few inches below the navel is your second chakra,
The sacral chakra.
Just focus on this part of your body to help awaken the sacral chakra.
As the sacral chakra opens,
It radiates a nice orange light and then move your focus further up to the upper abdomen,
The seat of solar plexus chakra,
The third chakra.
Focusing here will help you awaken the solar plexus chakra and as this chakra slowly opens up,
It radiates a yellow light.
Now move your attention to your upper chest,
The fourth chakra,
Heart chakra.
Focusing on the upper chest will help awaken the heart chakra and as the heart chakra awakens,
It radiates a green light.
Now move your focus up to your throat to awaken the throat chakra.
As the throat chakra slowly opens up,
It radiates a blue light.
Now take your focus up to the forehead,
The center of the forehead is the seat of the third eye chakra.
As you focus here,
The third eye chakra awakens and it radiates a purple light.
Then take your focus to the crown of your head,
Awakening the crown chakra and once it awakens,
The crown chakra radiates a white light.
Now all the chakras are awake,
Here to support you in today's meditation,
Slowly return back along your spine to your upper abdomen,
The seat of the solar plexus chakra.
Start by connecting with the color yellow that represents solar plexus chakra.
Feel the yellow color getting brighter,
Covering the whole upper abdomen,
Lower rib cage.
If it's hard to visualize a color,
You can visualize something off that color.
The yellow color also represents the transforming energy,
The sun giving light,
Like fire or Agni that are deeply associated with this chakra.
Every chakra has its own symbol.
The symbol associated with this solar plexus chakra is a yellow colored 10 petaled lotus flower with a red inverted triangle in the center.
Right in the upper abdomen,
Visualize this symbol,
Yellow colored 10 petaled lotus flower with a red inverted triangle in the center.
The 10 petals represent the 10 pranas or the energies that run through your body.
So as you strengthen this chakra,
It strengthens the energies that run through your body.
The red inverted triangle represents the fire or the Agni that helps transform you,
Not only transform the food into energy,
But also transform you into your higher self.
So keep visualizing the symbol of the solar plexus chakra.
The element associated with this chakra is fire.
So connect where do you find fire in your body.
One is the digestive fire in the abdomen.
The other could be the fire of light that enters your eyes.
Even with your eyes closed,
Notice the warmth that you perceive.
The red inverted triangle representing the fire element,
Strengthening the fire element of this chakra.
Also,
Pressing the big toe of your feet into the ground can help strengthen the fire element of this chakra.
The hand mudra that's connected with this chakra is called the Agni mudra.
Agni means fire.
So to create this mudra with your hands,
Simply fold your ring finger in towards the palm of the hand and place your thumb over the ring finger.
Like the thumb is pressing the ring finger down.
The all other fingers stretch out,
Palms facing up.
You can rest your hands over your knees,
Thighs or alongside your body.
Holding this mudra further strengthens your solar plexus chakra.
Continue breathing.
You are welcome to hold the Agni mudra for the rest of the practice.
Or if you would like to release it,
You can release it and turn your palms back down.
Now we'll move into the vibration associated with this chakra.
The vibration is Ram.
I'm going to chant this vibration three times.
You are welcome to do it with me or just listen to it and feel the energy in your solar plexus chakra.
Take a long breath in.
And on the exhale,
Ram.
Again,
Take a long inhale.
Ram.
Last one,
A long breath in.
Ram.
Let the breath settle down and feel the energy shifts in your solar plexus chakra.
And now start sending your breath towards the upper abdomen,
Towards the area around the solar plexus chakra.
As you expand the upper abdomen on the inhale,
Feel it releasing and tension builds there.
You feel the exhale relaxing this area even further.
As you use your breath to release all the tension from this part,
Notice if you are releasing any additional energy blocks.
Is there anything that comes up as you release these blocks from your solar plexus chakra?
What has been holding you back from transforming into your higher self?
Notice what comes up.
Once you find those blocks,
Just allow them to release through your breath,
Freeing the energy of the solar plexus chakra.
Now as the solar plexus chakra becomes a little bit more freer,
A little bit more stronger,
Notice if it has any insights for you.
If it's telling you what steps need to be taken to achieve those goals.
Just listen to the guidance of this chakra.
And then lastly,
See if there are any cords of attachment to this chakra.
Usually the people that are taking the energy from your chakra are connected to your chakra with cords.
And these cords could be coming through the front,
Back,
Sides.
So notice who are the people attached to your chakra through these cords.
Maybe these people are preventing you from transforming into your higher self.
Maybe people from the past who have said things to you that are blocking the energy of your transformation.
Notice who these people are.
And sometimes you find yourself blocking the energy of your own chakra.
Once you find these people,
You slowly detach those cords from your chakra and allow them to fly away from you.
Gently detach the cord,
Release it far away from you.
So on and so forth.
Remove all the attachments.
Sometimes some people need to be removed more than once.
And that's okay.
Once the chakra is free from all attachments,
Visualize a golden sun in front of the chakra.
And then allow this golden sun to be absorbed into the chakra.
And the healing light of this golden sun makes the chakra vibrate at its highest frequency.
Now to further strengthen this chakra,
Repeat some affirmations to yourself.
You can tell yourself,
I am confident.
I am strong.
I am aligned with my goal.
I am aligned with my true purpose.
Feel the solar plexus chakra fully balanced,
Vibrating at its brightest yellow color.
Look towards this chakra above and below and thank all of them for being here,
Supporting you.
And then thank your solar plexus chakra for helping you transform into who you are meant to be.
Allow the chakras to calm down.
You know they are there when you need them.
And return your focus towards your breath.
Noticing where do you feel your breath?
How is it moving?
Is the pace different than when you started the practice?
Connect with your surroundings again,
What the eyes are perceiving now.
Whether they are closed,
Whether there is a soft gaze.
What do you perceive through your eyes?
Connect with your surroundings,
The room that you are in.
With eyes closed or a soft gaze.
If you feel like making any movements in your fingers,
Toes,
You want to stretch out,
You can stretch out.
And slowly bring your hands to your heart center and you gently bow down to close this practice.
Namaste.
When you feel ready,
You can open your eyes.
And this was the solar plexus chakra meditation.
I will see you guys next time for the heart chakra meditation.
Sending you lots of love.
Namaste.
