Your insecurities will fade away with the comprehending of your deep roots and safety.
Feeling your safety will free you to fall asleep.
We are rooted and safe in this whole big and impressive system called life.
Taking a deep breath again and let's feel those deep roots now together with mindful listening.
Bring your awareness to the sounds around you.
One by one notice them slowly.
Pick three of those sounds,
The ones you like the most and name them one after another.
You can name them either out loud or silently,
Whichever suits you best.
After paying attention to the sounds around us,
A feeling of calmness and connection often follows.
And do you know why?
Because this meditative activity connects you to your well-being,
Your calm nature.
A big part of that nature is your creativity.
By choosing sounds and paying attention to them,
You are activating your creative muscles.
The very action of choosing includes creativity.
Creativity is a connection point to our well-being and our calm nature.
Once we feel calm,
Sleep is right around the corner.
During our day,
We tend to identify most with our practical and material selves.
This is normal and necessary but innocently it can also leave us feeling disconnected from our natural calmness,
Our well-being and our creativity.
Feeling as if we are lonely leaves,
Small and insecure with little sense of safety.
We are blown away by the rough winds of life and so it can be hard to fall asleep.
Our insecurities would fade away if we could only understand that we are leaves who are attached to a branch.
And the branch is attached to a trunk.
And this trunk is attached to the roots.
Our insecurities would fade away with the comprehending of our deep roots.
We are a part of this whole big and impressive system called life.
Creativity is one of our points of connection to life.
To feeling rooted and calm and safely falling asleep.
Our meditation is coming to an end.
Let's finish by taking a deep breath and again bring awareness to the sounds around you.
Pick three sounds.
Name them one after another.
Feel calm and connected.
Imagine your insecurities fading away with you comprehending your deep roots.
Imagine your body releasing tension.
You are sinking into bed.
Your bed is receiving your body.
As the earth is welcoming roots.
We are a part of this whole nature.
This big system called life.
You are invited to believe that and feel it.
