Take a moment to get comfortable.
In any way that feels really good to you.
In this visualization,
There is nothing to fix.
And nothing to change.
And nowhere to get to.
This visualization.
Is for those moments when you are already feeling a little bit overwhelmed.
When your mind is busy.
And perhaps you're finding it a little bit tricky to find your footing.
And if it's comfortable for you,
You might want to soften your gaze.
Or close your eyes.
And I invite you to imagine that you're on a boat,
A little rowing boat.
Out let's see And it's quite a windy.
.
.
Stormy afternoon.
The boat you're in is rocking.
There's a lot of rain in the air and it's being lashed at you via the wind.
It's a little bit destabilizing and there's a mist so you can't really see where you are.
Wherever you look,
There's just this eerie mist around you.
The rain is coming at you and the boat is rocking.
In the way that it feels when we are not quite able to make sense of where we are with our own thinking.
When our minds are busy.
And it's difficult to reorient ourselves.
And you're in this boat.
And it doesn't feel good.
It's hard to know what to do,
Which way to go.
And then you remember something.
You don't have to experience this situation of being in the boat with the rocking boat and the wind and the rain.
That there's another way.
Right now.
In this moment and for a second you'd forgotten.
And now that you remember,
You understand that you can choose.
Something else so that although the outside circumstances have not changed at all.
Inside of you.
And with this.
You notice that you can stand up even though the boat is rocking.
And you do a beautiful,
Elegant leap off the boat,
Double somersault.
And you land in the water.
And as you hit the water,
Your legs turn into this beautiful tail.
And you dive deep under the surface,
Beyond.
.
.
The rocky surface of the water,
The choppiness.
And down there.
It's quiet.
When you look up you can still see the choppy surface of the water.
But down here.
It's spacious and quiet.
And calm.
And you notice that with your tail you have turned into a mer person.
Your eyes are perfectly adapted for the semi-gloom.
And the water feels like silk against your skin.
There is so much room.
And you notice the soft light.
As it filters beneath the surface it bathes your environment in this beautiful,
Gentle,
Delicious light.
The space feels so inviting to you.
You move around effortlessly.
You might notice that there are some fish nearby and they are perfectly comfortable with you and their presence.
You are part of their world now.
And you realise that you can be equally comfortable either here.
Under the surface where it is quiet or on dry land above.
And with this understanding,
This realization comes a sense.
Of safety.
Sure there is a storm.
And the boat is rocking.
But now you feel safe anyway.
Under the surface.
Swimming with ease and grace.
You notice how at home you are here,
How effortless,
How easy.
You understand that although.
.
.
The choppiness of your thinking.
The storm is still happening.
There is somewhere else where you can be.
That both can exist simultaneously.
And as you take a few moments in this watery.
.
.
Gentle So.
Spacious.
Wild beneath the surface of the noise.
You settle.
There's a calmness that envelops you.
You just notice.
Life.
It feels easy.
And effortless.
And after a few moments of swimming around and enjoying the space.
You notice that more light is beginning to shine through from above.
And as you look out,
You notice that the choppiness is also beginning to soften.
On the surface of the water And as you swim around a little longer and you look back up,
You notice the boat is beginning to settle.
It's no longer rocking.
And you also notice how safe you feel.
And that you're safe in either place.
You're safe on the boat.
And you're safe under here.
You are perfectly at home in both environments.
There is nowhere.
Where you are not safe.
And with this gentle realisation that is beyond thought,
It's more of a soft knowing that you are home no matter what.
You intuitively notice that you want to swim.
Right back up to the surface and you move your tail and as you speed up you break through the surface of the water with an elegant somersault and land on your two feet.
Back on the boat.
You start to laugh when you realise how funny it is that you were concerned before.
And as you look around you.
In the steadiness of the boat now.
It has settled as the storm has passed.
Your visibility has increased.
As well.
There's a beautiful rainbow in the distance.
And you can see land.
Ahead.
You take a deep breath.
In through your nose,
Deeply into your belly.
And out through your mouth.
Fully understanding.
That there was nothing you needed to fix to make the storm pass.
There is always somewhere else.
Within you that's available.
Beneath the noise.
Beneath the waves.
Where you can be.
Whenever you choose.
And with that realization.
You can also decide to head towards land.
It's so much easier to make the decisions about which way to go.
Now that the sky has cleared.
And with it comes clarity.
And visibility.
And a sense.
Of ease.
And so anytime you notice that you're overwhelmed.
Or your mind is busy.
And things did a little bit too much.
Remember there's always another place to go underneath the thoughts.
Under the surface.
That's fully and completely available for you.
And I invite you to get very comfortable.
You might want to just gently open your eyes if they've been closed as you reorient with your environment,
With your room.
Knowing you are safe.
Knowing you have this choice that's always open to you.
Ready whenever you wish.
Whenever you want.
Whenever you choose.
