Hi,
I'm Lexi and welcome to your little mini Glimmers Reset.
This is just a few minutes to pause,
Take a few breaths and notice some of those small things in our day that can make us smile.
Glimmers are basically those tiny,
Often overlooked moments that can lift our spirits a little and make things feel that bit brighter.
And they're already all around us,
But usually we rush straight past them.
And I completely understand that sometimes it doesn't feel like there's that much to notice.
Life can be busy,
Stressful or just a lot,
But our calm and our wellbeing are always still there underneath it all.
And Glimmers can be such a lovely,
Easy way to reconnect with that.
And that's why I love them so much.
So if it feels comfortable,
I invite you to maybe place a hand on your belly and if you're walking or out and about while you're listening to this,
Don't worry about that.
Just notice your breath in whatever way works best for you.
And then take a slow,
Deep breath into your belly and let it fall out of your mouth.
One more time,
Drawing air deeply into your belly,
Feeling it expand and out of your mouth.
That's right.
And then notice if your body softens even a little bit as you do that.
Think of it as kind of giving yourself a tiny pocket of time to settle.
It's a little bit like pressing your own slow down button.
The world keeps going,
But you get a pause,
A little bit of space to notice what's actually here,
Right here,
Right now.
And so today,
As you move through your day,
I'd love you to consider looking out for these Glimmers.
Things like maybe the first cup of your tea or coffee,
Or perhaps the smell of something baking,
Or catching a green traffic light when you thought you'd be stuck at red,
Or even maybe closing the laptop after finishing a task you've been dreading doing.
And then there's also the more unexpected ones like recently,
I spotted a heart-shaped puddle on the pavement and I actually stopped and took a photo of it on my phone.
Or maybe noticing the dew shining on a spider's web in the early morning,
Or a flower pushing through a crack in the tarmac,
Or someone holding the door open for you when you really weren't expecting it.
So you see,
They really don't have to be big or special.
In fact,
I'd go as far as to say that often it's the really small ones that can surprise us the most.
And like I did,
If you fancy,
You could even take photos of the ones that feel relevant.
And before long,
You'll notice you've built your own little collection of everyday glimmers that you can refer back on.
And that's really all this reset is.
A few slow deep breaths,
A pocket of time,
And a gentle invitation to notice the little things.
And the great news is that the more we do this,
The easier it gets.
And then we start to notice them everywhere.
Life just gets that bit easier,
More fun,
More enjoyable.
Each glimmer is like a gentle reminder that our well-being is right here,
Always,
Just below the surface.
So I invite you to consider having one more slow deep breath in and out.
And that's it.
That's your reset for the day.
Happy glimmer hunting.
Thanks for joining me.
