Welcome.

As you begin this walk,

Let yourself slow down.

There's nowhere to get to.

This is simply a walk to arrive in the present moment.

Let your arms hang by your side softly.

Feel your feet connecting with the ground beneath you as you walk.

One step at a time.

Steady,

Natural,

Easy.

So let's walk.

And notice.

Start by tuning in to your sense of sight.

Look around you with soft eyes.

Notice colors,

Shapes,

Light.

You might see the sky,

A tree,

A shadow,

An animal,

A building.

Let your eyes linger on anything that catches your eye.

Not to judge or label,

Just to look at.

Let yourself take in with awe as if you've never seen it before.

Good.

Now gently shifting to your next sense of hearing.

What sounds are around you right now?

Try to identify them.

Is it birds,

Footsteps,

People talking,

Cars?

I'll let you listen.

Notice the layers of sound,

Near and far.

There's no need to focus on any one thing.

Just listen.

Now bringing your awareness to touch.

Feel the breeze on your skin.

Maybe the warmth of the sun or the coolness of the air.

The rhythm of your steps beneath you.

Notice how your body feels moving through space.

Alive,

Present,

Here.

And now gently bringing your sense of gratitude forward.

Let it rise naturally.

You might feel thankful for the fresh air.

You might feel grateful that you took a break from work or something you were doing.

You might feel grateful for your legs carrying you forward.

For this pause in the present moment.

For the beauty that is all around you right now,

That you got to witness today.

Let that feeling expand.

Let it fill you with gratitude step by step.

Gratitude for this moment,

This breath.

Notice yourself breathing.

Relaxing your shoulders and softening the muscles of your face.

Feeling grateful to be alive and for the earth.

Let the walking continue for as long as you'd like.

No rush.

No destination.

Just you,

Your senses,

And this quiet appreciation for being alive.

Thank you for taking a mindful moment with me today.

You're always welcome to come back here.

Have a good day.
