Set an intention to generate the energy that is most needed in your life right now. This is a powerful exercise to help focus you to live life on your terms. In this short meditation, clarify an intention, and then meditate on how that intention will come to life throughout your day. Setting an intention is like clarifying an 'energetic aim' and leaves more room for creativity and flexibility than a goal. No matter what arises throughout the day, this visualization will give you a solid foundation from which to be, move, act and live from.

Create a confident meditation seat.

It's important to generate your seat so that you are alert and also at ease.

Take the hand position of your choice,

Palms can rest down on the body for a sensation of grounding,

Or you can rest your palms up for a sensation of receiving.

Maybe you bring the thumb and the pointer finger or the middle finger to touch,

Or maybe all the fingers touch and then there's space between the palms.

When you're complete with the placement of your hands.

Blink your eyes to a close.

With your eyes closed call to mind and intention you have for yourself today.

And intention being an energy you'd like to carry forth into the day.

Some examples could be feelings,

Such as calm,

Easefulness,

Simplicity,

Love,

Openness,

Connection,

Compassion.

Find what's most needed in your life.

Right now,

Today,

And speak your intention word to yourself,

Three times.

Begin by taking a deep breath in and emptying out.

Feel how spacious you feel in this moment.

Light,

Free.

From the space of openness.

Bring your awareness to your intention.

The feeling the direction you'll embody throughout the rest of the day.

Starting right now in this visualization.

Inhale and allow this intention to saturate your being from head to toe.

Begin to map out an image in your mind's eye.

Put a version of yourself in fullest expression of this intention.

Be up to for the remainder of the day.

What exactly does bringing this intention into the world look like?

How would you relate to the other people you'll spend time with today?

With the energy of this intention?

Is there anything that you will do differently than you've done in the past?

What energy would a you that radiates this intention out,

Bring into a room?

How would you describe this version of you?

In the spirit of making this intention manifest,

In what way would people be impacted by your contribution?

What practices will you need to keep up with to stay centered and on a path of growth into this intention and in full flow?

If something were to come up that wasn't in alignment with the light of your growth and expansion into this intention,

Your higher way,

How will you break out of the darkness and get back onto your path?

Who would you need to lean on?

Where would you need to refocus your attention?

How long would it take to stay on this trajectory,

To not close up and shrivel up,

To stay open and free flowing in the spirit of your intention?

Stay centering back to your intention.

Clear,

Focused,

Fledgling and full of opportunity and potential.

Lit up from the inside,

Casting light and glowing,

Buzzing,

Energized in being.

Warm,

Decisive and uniquely you.

Take a deep breath in.

Let it go.

Blink your eyes open.
