Moonlight Meditation by Kelsey Calloway.
Find a comfortable seat or position laying down.
Eyes can be closed or open with a soft gaze.
And just take the next few breaths to let your body land.
Body landing on the furniture beneath you,
The surface beneath you,
Noticing all points of contact between your body and the surface that's holding you.
And noticing your breath.
Where in your body do you feel your inhale?
Where in your body do you feel your exhale?
Noticing if there's any effort with your breathing.
Noticing how full your breath is able to be in this moment.
And see if you can release any amount of gripping,
Holding in your breath and in your body as the weight of your body drops more fully into the surface beneath you,
Softening the edges of your breath,
Shifting from the one doing the breathing to the one being breathed.
Every breath dropping in a little deeper,
Softening,
Receiving your breath.
And as you drop into this state of receivership,
Softness,
You begin to notice what's around you.
Noticing the temperature of the air as it graces your skin.
Notice any aroma in the air.
Noticing taste in your mouth.
Noticing is your mouth dry or is it wet?
Now we'll drop into your mind's eye.
Noticing what you see in your mind's eye,
The world of your imagination.
Imagine that all around you was dark,
A shining orb.
Noticing how big or small this orb is,
The color that it exudes.
Noticing if maybe this orb lends you a little warmth or is it cool?
This orb is the light of the moon.
As you tune in to the felt sense of the moon's presence,
Notice what happens in your body.
Where in your body is the moon inviting you to soften?
Where in your body is calling for attention,
Calling out to be seen and witnessed for whatever it is carrying?
And can you let that be witnessed by the presence of the moon?
As if the moon was a dear grandmother wrapping you in her light,
Her softness.
And coming back into your breath,
Allowing your breath to fill your body and release.
Continuing to feel the presence of this moon,
This grandmother moon.
And you can ask your body now,
Is there anything your body is holding that you can now release and surrender to the moon?
It can be a sensation,
An emotion.
Just noticing what bubbles up,
There's no need to go looking for it.
All that needs to be done is the acknowledgement of what is here right now.
Calling to be witnessed and maybe let go if it's ready.
This grandmother moon is reminding you to honor your own timing.
She's reminding you of your cyclical nature,
That there's no such thing as missing your chance.
Everything that is meant for you will come back to you.
She gives you permission to rest right here,
Right now.
She gives you permission to soften and receive.
Take a few more moments here to bask in the glow of this grandmother moon.
Soaking up her presence as she witnesses your presence.
Soften and breathe.
Basking in the glow of grandmother moon.
If you wish to linger here,
You may pause this recording and resume when you are ready to come back.
Otherwise,
We're going to slowly release the presence of the moon.
Offering a sense of gratitude and appreciation to all the wisdom that grandmother moon has to offer.
All the nurturing care and support that she offers.
Noticing once again the surface that's holding the weight of your body.
If your eyes are closed,
Softly opening them,
Becoming aware of the space around you.
Maybe deepening your breath if that feels good.
With a long audible exhale,
A big sigh.
Moving back into your day,
Your morning or your evening.
A little lighter.
A little softer.
