Welcome to your grounding embodiment meditation.
So before we get started just take a moment to get really comfortable where you are,
Whether you're seated or lying down.
Make sure that you are supported enough so that you don't have to brace your body in any way to maintain your position.
So if you need to pause this audio just to make sure that you are adequately supported,
Just go ahead and do that now and come back when you're all set.
So closing your eyes if it feels safe and comfortable to do so and just take a breath is filling your body as you breathe in and how your breath is leaving your body as you breathe out.
Just acknowledging how your breath feels here right now in this moment.
There's no right or wrong way to breathe,
Just acknowledging what is here in your body.
Breath is the most intimate way we interact with our outer environment,
Welcoming that environment into our own inner environment and letting it go.
Let your awareness of breath bring your attention now into your inner landscape,
Into your body and at any point through this meditation if you feel like you need to fidget or move your body in order to experience your body in a more intimate way,
You have full permission to do so.
And if at any point you feel like you need to let out a big sigh or make any sound,
You also have full permission to do that.
So now bringing your awareness into the point of connection between your body and the surface beneath you.
Feeling your sit bones release into the cushion beneath you.
Sending one breath down into your right hip and one breath down into your left hip and a breath down into the center of your hips.
Can you give your body permission to soften any amount into your hips,
Your pelvis.
Now sending a breath down into your right leg,
Right leg,
And send a breath down into your left leg,
Breath into your left leg.
Can you let both of your legs soften,
Become heavy,
Just noticing what arises for you in this part of your body.
Sensation,
Thought,
Emotion.
Breathing,
Now breathe all the way down into the sole of your right foot.
Breathing into the sole of your right foot,
Into the top of your right foot,
Sides of your right foot,
Inner side,
Outer side,
Breathing into the tips of your toes and the base of your heel.
Breathing in to all sides of your right foot.
Can your right foot become rooted?
Imagine as though you could breathe roots out through the sole of your right foot.
Roots grounding down into the earth,
Roots connecting you to the earth,
Grounding,
Rooting.
Now breathe into the sole of your left foot.
Breathing in to the sole of your left foot.
Breathe into the top of your left foot.
Breathe in to the top of your left foot.
Now breathe in to the tips of your left toes.
All five toes breathing.
Breathe in to the base of your left heel.
Base of your left heel.
Breathe into your inner foot and your outer foot.
Breathing in,
Inner left foot,
Outer left foot.
One breath filling all sides of your left foot.
Let your left foot be grounded and rooted.
Breathing roots down through the sole of your left foot,
Down into the earth beneath you.
Rooting,
Grounding.
Now breathing down through both hips,
Both legs,
Both feet.
Root,
Send your breath down through your body and into the ground beneath you.
Rooting down,
Grounding down.
Now breathe your awareness back up through your feet,
Through your legs,
Through your hips,
Through your spine,
Into your ribs.
Feeling that rebound of lightness up through your spine,
Grounding down to rise tall and free in through your ribs.
Now breathing up into your shoulders,
Giving your shoulders permission to release any tension they need not carry.
Breathing down through your right arm,
Breathing down through your left arm,
Breathing into your right hand,
Breathing into your left hand,
Breathing down through both arms,
Breathing down through both hands.
Now let your awareness rebound up through your hands,
Through your arms,
Into your neck.
Let your neck be light and free.
Up into your skull.
Let your skull be light and free.
Now let your awareness fall through your skull,
Down your neck,
Through your ribcage,
Traveling down your spine,
Through your hips,
Pelvis,
Down your legs,
Through your feet,
Through your feet,
Growing roots into the ground beneath you.
Your body is whole.
Your body is grounded.
Your body is rooted.
You are connected.
Rest here in this knowing,
In this sensation,
For the next few rounds of breath,
Before rising up and out,
Back into your day or your night.
Namaste.
