This was created for you,
The therapist,
The healer,
The counselor,
To use between sessions to reset your energy and to come home to yourself.
This is meant to be quick and to be repeated every time you have a session so that you can stay in your own energy throughout the day.
And not be depleted.
So let's begin.
We're going to take just two breaths in through the nose,
Exhaling through the mouth,
A little longer than on the inhale.
Inhaling through the nose.
And exhaling through the mouth.
And again,
Inhaling through the nose.
And exhaling through the mouth.
Beautiful.
If it feels comfortable to you,
You may close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Now I want you to check in with your body.
Just noticing any sensations,
Any places that feel good or neutral or tense.
Maybe notice your hips and your stomach.
Your chest,
Your hands.
Your jaw,
Your throat.
Little point between your eyebrows.
Seeing if you can soften those spaces just a little more.
Thanking your body for carrying you through a session.
For helping you hold presence and attunement with your clients.
Just checking in with your own energy.
What does it feel like to just be in your body?
Breathing mad in.
Now I want you to hold the energy of your last session.
However,
You may sense it through physical sensation and inner knowing,
Or maybe you have a visualization of the client in the session.
We want to take a moment to honor what was given to us in this session.
The courage that it takes to do this work.
The vulnerability that the client brought into the session.
The energy that they put into the session as well.
Just taking a moment if you feel comfortable putting your hands in front of your heart.
And just slightly bowing in gratitude for the session,
For the lessons.
For all that was shared.
Honoring the humanity of our client.
Thanking them.
For not only showing up for themselves,
But also being a teacher to us.
I want you to sense that energy of the client.
Releasing from your space.
And sending it away with love.
We're sending our clients out into the world.
We hold hope for their transformation.
And we hold compassion for what they're going through.
We also allow them to leave our space.
To go and live their life.
As we bring our energy back to ourselves to live ours.
So if you can just imagine either your client leaving the room or the sensations leaving your body.
Or just this knowing of release.
I wish you well.
I wish you peace.
I wish you love.
I wish you ease.
And then bringing your hand back to your heart.
Sending yourself love and compassion.
Releasing yourself from any obligation.
Overwhelm.
Over-responsibility.
Closing this session knowing that you did your best.
And that this session is now complete.
Breathing that in.
And as you release your client from your session,
Notice what happens to your body.
What sensations come up for you now?
Any emotions that come up or thoughts,
Those are all welcome here.
Taking one last breath in through the nose.
Out through the mouth with a sigh.
Settling into your own energy and body as you prepare for your next session.
