Welcome to this Forest and Stream Guided Visualization Meditation.
Please begin by finding a comfortable position.
Allow your body to settle with no effort and no fixing.
If it feels right for you,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and a long,
Easy breath out through your mouth.
We're going to repeat this twice.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
And again,
Breathing in,
Feel the chest and belly soften.
And when breathing out,
Letting the weight of the day drop away.
Imagine yourself at the edge of a forest.
It's calm,
The air is cool and clean.
Lightly scented with the earth and leaves.
Above you,
You see tall trees swaying gently.
The branches filtering soft sunlight.
You hear the quiet orchestra of the forest.
Birds in the distance,
Leaves whispering the steady rhythm of nature at ease.
As you step into the forest,
You feel your body more supported.
Feeling the ground beneath you is firm and welcoming.
You do not need to rush as the forest moves at your pace.
As you walk,
Notice the sounds around you.
The deeper you go,
The quieter your thoughts become.
Anything that you've been carrying,
Tension,
Worry,
Any mental noise,
You don't need to solve it right now.
Allow it to walk beside you,
Knowing you'll set it down soon.
Ahead,
You hear the sound of flowing water.
Follow it until the trees open to reveal a stream.
A stream that's clear,
Gently moving and sparkling with light.
The water is pure,
Calm,
Flowing endlessly,
Carrying things away with ease.
You come to the edge of the stream and you pause.
Take a moment to notice what you're holding inside.
Worries,
Pressure,
Headaches,
Heavy thoughts,
Tiredness.
Whatever it is,
There is no judgment here.
One by one,
Allow those worries to drift into the stream.
You don't need to push them.
You just simply need to let them go.
Watch as the water receives them.
Dissolving them completely and carrying them downstream until they are out of sight and disappear.
Now gently kneel or lean forward.
Dip your hands into the water and feel its cool,
Clear and refreshing qualities.
Bring the water to your face.
As you wash your face and forehead,
Feel the water instantly relieve tension.
Any mental stress,
Loosen.
Tension around the eyes,
Temple or head,
Feel them melt away.
Feel your mind becoming clearer,
Lighter and quieter.
Take another slow breath and feel the calm in your heart.
You are present and you are steady.
When you are ready,
Notice a simple crossing over the stream.
A small stone bridge or a natural path.
It draws you in to cross easily and confidently.
And on the other side,
The light feels fresh,
Open and new.
This place represents a new beginning.
You don't need to know every step ahead,
Only that you move forward with purpose,
Clarity and calm.
Take a moment to feel what you're carrying now.
A sense of ease,
Renewed energy,
Quiet confidence.
The forest behind you has given you what you needed.
Slowly,
Imagine yourself walking out of the forest,
Bringing with you the calm.
Hear the sounds fade gently behind you.
Begin to notice your breath again.
Notice your body,
Where you're sitting or lying down.
Gently move your fingers and toes.
And when you are ready,
You can open your eyes and return to the present moment.
Feeling grounded,
Refreshed and clear.
