Aim to relax,
Release,
And heal the body of any pain and tension caused by stress.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position in a quiet and peaceful space.
For this meditation,
You can choose to either sit or lie down.
Keep your neck and spine aligned and your shoulders back and down.
Gently close your eyes and begin by taking a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Let your mind and body start to settle.
Inhale deeply into the diaphragm and exhale slowly through the mouth.
Inhale deeply,
Full expansion.
Feel the belly rise and exhale,
Releasing any stress.
Now gently bring your breath back to a regular pattern.
I would like to invite you to visualize yourself stepping onto a soft,
White sand beach.
The sun is low in the sky.
You can feel the presence of a warm,
Golden light across the landscape.
Tall palm trees sway lazily in the breeze and you can hear the nature's gentle,
Relaxing rustle.
Nearby,
You can see a flock of ibis standing in stillness on a large rock by the shore.
And graceful seabirds glide peacefully above you in the refreshing,
Salty air.
Beneath your feet,
The sand is cool,
Soft and powdery.
Feel it between your toes and on the palm of your foot as you walk.
Ahead of you,
You see a crystal clear,
Turquoise water lapse gently at the shore,
Sparkling under the sunlight.
This place is like nothing you have ever seen before.
You feel held and supported by the earth and the rhythm of the waves.
You are safe here.
As you stand here on this beach,
Imagine a warm,
Healing light beginning to form above you.
This is the pure,
Loving,
Intelligent Reiki energy.
Silently,
Give permission to the light force to assist and trust that it knows exactly where to go and what to do.
Watch as this light slowly begins to descend,
Flowing around you,
Enveloping you in a cocoon of soft,
Radiant energy.
If you are looking from outside,
You will see your being glow with the light of Reiki.
You can imagine a beam of light begin a gentle scan of your body.
From the top of your head to the tip of your toes,
Inviting in awareness,
Release and healing.
Bring your attention to the top of your head.
Feel the Reiki light gently touching your crown,
Soothing your scalp,
Your forehead and your temples.
If you notice any tension here,
Any pain or heaviness,
Let the light gently lift it away like a mist dissolving into the sky.
Moving your awareness to your eyes,
Your cheeks and your jaw,
Unclenching if it is tight.
Let your tongue gently rest in your mouth,
Feeling the muscles in your face soften,
Allowing the healing light to move here and smooth away any signs of stress or fatigue.
Gently guiding your awareness to your neck and your shoulders.
This is where we often carry the weight of the world,
Inviting Reiki light to flow into this area,
Feeling it melt away any tension like warm sunlight on ice.
Allow your shoulders to drop and release,
Bringing the light down through your arms,
Elbows,
Wrists and into your hands.
Noticing any sensations,
Tingling,
Warmth or relaxation,
Letting the light flow all the way to your fingertips,
Carrying away any lingering tightness.
Now feel the Reiki energy entering your chest and into your heart space,
Breathing gently here,
Allowing the light fill your lungs and heart.
Letting the light fill your heart with warmth and peace,
Feeling any sadness,
Stress,
Emotional weight that is held here,
Gently being dissolved by the light,
Feeling safe and loved.
Slowly bringing your focus to your stomach and lower back.
Let your belly be soft and keep your breath natural.
Observe as the healing light flows into your digestive organs,
Your kidneys,
Your spine,
Releasing knots,
Supporting your body's natural balance and boosting the organ's functionality.
Now shift your awareness to your hips,
Pelvis and root chakra.
This area often holds deep unconscious tension.
Feel the Reiki light filling and softening the area,
Letting go of any tightness you are holding,
Feeling grounded,
Secure,
Connected to the earth beneath you.
Gently,
The energy moves down to your thighs,
Knees,
Calves and ankles,
Taking away any discomfort and signs of fatigue.
Soothing with its warm light,
Let it reach all the way into your feet and out through your toes,
Feeling the connection with the sound beneath you.
And letting the earth absorb any remaining tension or stress.
Now take a moment to feel your entire body as a whole.
Relaxing,
Resting,
Glowing and held in this gentle Reiki light.
The beach is quiet.
The waves rhythmically rising and falling.
The birds call softly in the distance.
You are calm,
Relaxed and deeply at peace.
Allow yourself to rest in this stillness for a few moments,
Simply breathing,
Simply being.
When you feel ready,
Begin to gently bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and take a deep breath in.
And exhale slowly.
Gently opening your eyes and bringing your awareness back to the room.
Carrying this sense of calm and healing with you into the rest of your day.
