Hi and welcome to this short mirror practice.

My name is Reverend Karima and this practice is done with a mirror.

So as soon as you have a mirror please use it and watch yourself in the mirror and really take notice.

What do you see?

If you see lines,

Wrinkles,

Or that your nose is too big,

Too small,

Whatever.

Just note that down in your mind.

And I want you to see every time you see something you don't like,

I want you to do this.

I want you to do a 180.

I want you to say hey is this how you speak to a unique child?

And I want you to imagine yourself as a newborn because that's your soul.

Your soul is without any mistakes.

So I want you every time you have a negative thought about how you look in the mirror,

I want you to say to yourself,

Hey that's not how you talk to a child.

Because your inner child,

Every time we say something negative,

Your inner child gets hurt and you don't want to do that.

So let's practice together.

Stand in the front stand in the front of a mirror again or use the one you have in your handbag.

Yeah I know you.

I know you.

Most of you do,

Right?

So let's stand before the mirror or sit or lay.

And just watch.

And let's do this for one minute.

I'll take the time.

Don't worry.

And as you watch,

Be very specific.

When are you the most critical?

And ask yourself,

Would I be this critical if my friend asked me about her face?

Probably no.

And if you say yes,

Then I want you to also take a 180 in your friendship and see your friend as an innocent inner child.

Let's continue this practice.

A few seconds left.

Now that you have watched your face in the mirror for one minute,

I want you to ask yourself,

What triggered me the most and why?

And the first answer you get is the right answer.

And I want you to take that trigger and I want you to again see yourself as an inner child.

If you have a picture of yourself as a baby,

Then I want you to watch that as soon as possible.

I want you to look in that baby's face and I want you to say,

You are beautiful beyond measure.

You are amazing.

There's nothing wrong with you.

You don't need fixing.

Because that is the inner child.

And then I want you to put a hand on your heart and say,

I'm enough.

I don't need fixing.

I don't need surgery.

I don't need buttocks.

And I want you to honor yourself because every line,

Every wrinkle is a testament to the fact that you are alive.

And then I want you to ask yourself when you're supercritical,

Would you rather have a wrinkle or would you be dead?

Because that's the alternative.

We can stop wrinkles totally,

But then we wouldn't be alive.

And that's not a good option.

And I want you to be honest with me here.

If you'd rather not be alive because of a wrinkle,

Then please call 911 immediately.

Because if your filtered reality means that much to you,

You really need help.

And that help is immediate.
