So you're anxious.
You click the button.
Well done.
I'm here for you right now.
In this moment,
We,
You and me,
Are right here.
Everything is fine right now.
You're breathing.
You are alive.
It feels like you're gonna die,
But you're alive.
If the word anxiety is known for you,
I'm pretty sure you've been through this before.
And even though it feels new every single time,
Try to reach for it last time you felt like this.
And remember when it turned.
And remember when anxiety turned off like a button.
It can do that now as well.
And it will.
So I want you to remember this right now.
Again,
I am here.
And once this track is over,
If you feel like you really need help,
You can call 911 or your healthcare provider.
But in this moment,
Ask yourself,
Have I felt this way before?
Is any of this known to me?
With anxiety,
It's very important to remember that even though it feels new every single time,
The more you can catch yourself in the moment and see that this has happened before.
As long as you can grab onto that thought,
Hang onto it,
And just repeat to yourself,
It's gonna pass.
It's gonna pass.
It's gonna pass.
Because it will.
If you are able,
Try to relax your hands.
Try to carefully wave it in front of your face.
Because that's the fate right now.
You are in this situation.
Try to wave your hands.
Continue to wave it.
Flick your tongue.
Put a smile on your face.
Because that signalizes to the body that you are okay.
If you're not able to do any of those things,
That's okay.
I'm here.
I'm with you.
We have been together for 3 minutes and 18 seconds.
And I'm not gonna leave you anytime soon.
Let's take a deep breath together.
In through the nose.
And out through the nose.
And on that breath,
Really let it all out.
Let it out.
And I want you to say to yourself,
It's gonna pass.
Let's try the breathing and saying that.
It's gonna pass.
It's gonna pass.
Let's continue.
I'm alright.
Anxiety feels horrible,
But it's nothing to us.
It will always pass.
It always does.
I'm safe in this moment.
My friend Reverend Karima is with me.
I'm not alone.
We've been together for almost 5 minutes at this point.
Just promise me one thing.
If you need support,
Call your local healthcare practitioners or 911 if you feel that you still are in an emergency.
If you feel unsure at all.
I'm saying that because I just want you to be sure.
But if you have had anxiety before,
Remember how that felt like.
Remember that you are safe.
Remember that anxiety feels like you're gonna die,
But it fools your brain because your body thinks that you're under attack.
But you're not.
You're okay.
I'm here with you and I love you and it's been 6 minutes.
Take care.
God bless.
