We're often told to come back to the present moment - but what if staying present still feels difficult, even after years of meditation, spiritual practice, or healing? In this session, Energy Healing Practitioner John Steen shares what he discovered through his own healing journey: presence was always available to him, but years of living in survival mode and carrying unfinished emotional responses created an enormous amount of internal activity competing with it. As deeper wounds began to complete, something changed. There was more space. Less vigilance. Less emotional charge pulling him away. Presence no longer felt like something he had to continually force. This reflection explores the relationship between presence, survival patterns, the body, and emotional completion - and offers a different question to consider: What if presence isn't something we need to get better and better at forcing? What if healing gradually removes some of what keeps pulling us away from it?
