Hello,
This is John.
Find a safe,
Quiet space and ensure you are in a place where you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes.
Sit comfortably with your back straight or lie down if you prefer.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of four.
Hold the breath for four counts.
Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth for a count of six.
Repeat this cycle five times,
Focusing on the sensation of the breath.
That was wonderful.
Now begin at the top of your head and slowly move your attention down to your toes.
Notice any areas of extreme tension or discomfort.
With each exhale,
Imagine releasing the tension in these areas.
Visualize the stress melting away.
Picture a dark cloud representing your stress hovering above you.
With each exhale,
See the cloud dissipating and becoming replaced by a bright,
Warm light.
Feel the light filling your body,
Bringing calm and relaxation.
Beautiful.
Now silently repeat these powerful affirmations to combat your severe stress.
I release this stress.
It does not control me.
I am capable and strong.
I trust myself to handle this with grace.
Say each affirmation with conviction,
Allowing the words to resonate deeply.
Now gently bring your attention to the sensations of your body touching the chair or the floor.
Notice the support beneath you,
Grounding you to the present moment.
Take a few more deep,
Grounding breaths,
Feeling the air fill your lungs and release.
Now gently bring yourself back by wiggling your fingers and toes,
Bringing gentle movement back to your body.
Open your eyes slowly,
Maintaining a sense of calm and control.
Take one final deep breath and carry this sense of peace with you as you return to your tasks.
This meditation is designed to quickly and effectively reduce severe work stress,
Helping you regain control and calm.
