Welcome,

I'm Jocelyn.

This is the fifth in a series of journaling into the chakras.

It is a meditation and journaling time moving into the chakras and this track is about the throat chakra.

So these tracks are really for anyone who's looking to open the chakra center but also get curious and creative with what each chakra holds within it.

It's for those who are writing personally as well as those who are looking to write more creatively activating the energies in each chakra.

So welcome!

It would be a good idea to have a journal and pen or paper and pen or a keyboard or tablet whatever you're writing on to have it close to you so when you're done with the visualization and your eyes are open you're able to go ahead and write about your experience or any inspirations that came up throughout the meditation and visualization.

So go ahead and get that by your side and when you're ready you're just gonna find yourself in a comfortable position.

That might mean that you are laying down or laying back sitting back just in a place where your body can feel supported.

It might be that you put a pillow under your legs or your neck.

It might be that you put a blanket on.

It might be that you close your door turn your lights low and ask everyone not to disturb you for a little while.

But just getting yourself into a place where you are comfortable where your body feels supported and you feel like you can be effortless and just listening for a short while.

And when you're ready you might want to let your eyes close down closing down the light in your space bringing your awareness and attention inward and you might feel that you want to wiggle out a little you might want to just roll your shoulders or take a stretch where you feel a bit of uncomfortability you might want to shake you even might want to take a hand and bring a little pressure to a certain area if you're feeling a little tension there or if you're feeling a bit of uneasiness giving yourself a bit of comfort and when you're ready coming to a place of stillness letting your attention rest within the body we're just gonna do a quick body scan letting your awareness go from the very top of your head and gently sliding down the back of the body the back of the head the back of the neck the back of the shoulders and the shoulder blades just bringing some awareness there the upper spine mid spine and lower spine the tailbone the glutes and hips the back of the thighs and calves and the heels of the feet and the bottom of the feet just letting your awareness flow down the back of your body allowing the back of your body to feel where it is supported might you notice the hills and valleys of the back of the body the shape at the back of the body makes alongside the support beneath it might you imagine all the curves of the back of the body like the winding of a river that sits in the riverbed held and comforted by the moist earth beneath it and inviting your body to release back into the supports that are holding it up and then allowing your attention to settle gently on the breath and you're not trying to change the breath just noticing your inhale and your exhale you know often when we just bring your awareness to our breath it naturally deepens just the awareness alone you might notice the temperature of air coming into your body and going out of your body you might notice the force of flow of air or you might notice where the body moves along with the breath you might notice that your body is still while you're breathing and that is just perfect there's no right or wrong here and we're going to take a few deep breaths together we're going to be inhaling through the nose and exhaling on a hum so with a hum you're going to have your lips closed and your teeth slightly apart and you'll be able to feel the vibrations all through your mouth maybe even in your inner ears the back of your throat sometimes in your chest and allow those vibrations of that hum to be felt in your body oftentimes when I have a hum and I'm breathing with it it feels like a sense of magic awakening within my body and it is okay if it doesn't feel that way to you we're gonna take a few deep breaths and again the lips will be together the teeth slightly apart and you can do this in your own time and space or along with me we're going to inhale through the nose inhale through the nose and while you're continuing to inhale through the nose and hum on the exhale through a closed lips but slightly open between the teeth just notice the vibration the massage of vibration all within the mouth and nasal cavity the throat the head the chest you might even feel the vibration in your belly notice how it feels when you're humming notice the sensations of the vibration and one last one wherever you're at inhaling through the nose and you can release that I am going to invite you on a rotation of consciousness with your awareness again this is effortless all you have to do is listen to my voice and as my voice takes you on a journey throughout the body and different body parts might you imagine that at each body part there's just a simple touch to break the surface tension in that area there is an experiment for children to study surface tension and you can put water in a plate and pepper the whole surface of that water on that plate with pepper and all you have a child do is put a finger with a little bit of dish soap right at the very beginning of the water and all of the pepper gets pushed to the edges because that's so broke the surface tension might you imagine as I bring you across the different areas of the body just one small touch coming up to that area with the slightest of touches breaking the surface tension allowing the release in that area we'll start with the throat center just the smallest touch breaking the surface tension at the center of the throat releasing the underside of the chin the smallest slightest touch releasing all the surface tension at the underside of the chin both sides of the jaw the roof of the mouth the slightest touch releasing the surface tension allowing for the expansion and freedom inside of the right cheek inside of the left cheek the floor of the mouth the teeth and gums tip of the tongue back of the tongue the slightest tiniest touch breaking the surface tension allowing for release at the back of the tongue the back of the throat back of the skull top of the head and center of the forehead the tiniest slightest touch just enough to break the surface tension and release the mind's eye both eyebrows eyelids globes of the eyes eye sockets and temples the tiniest touch just enough to break the surface tension the ear lobes folds of the ears ear canals and the muscle of the mind the slightest most delicate touch just enough to break the surface tension a place where the spine meets the skull the back shoulder muscles the front shoulders upper arms forearms wrists all ten fingers the slightest most delicate touch releasing the surface tension across all ten fingers and the palms of the hands the front ribs side ribs the heart center the navel center at the belly button the slightest most delicate touch just enough to release the surface tension the lower belly and the pelvis outer thighs ankles all ten toes gentle delicate just enough of a touch to release the surface tension like a sigh of relief the bottoms of the feet inside of the ankles underside of the knees inside of the thighs the tailbone mid spine gentle delicate touch just enough to break the surface tension upper spine and the place where the spine meets the skull a place of ancient wisdom a gentle touch just enough to break the surface tension with a sigh of relief bringing your awareness back now to the throat center the throat chakra it's bringing just enough gentle delicate touch to the throat center to allow the surface tension to be broken and leaving your awareness here at the throat center the throat chakra pay attention and bring your awareness to any responses your body might have to some of these ideas communication self-expression truth authenticity these are some of the themes of the throat chakra and you might have issues with any of these themes if it feels blocked which it can from day to day we are evolving human beings learning every day so I'm gonna say those words once again and listen for any responses in your body when I say them communication self-expression truth and authenticity I'm going to guide your awareness through a bit of breathing to open up in that throat chakra so just allowing your awareness to be here at the throat center as you inhale and exhale you're not trying to change your breathing just allowing it to be just as it is but might you imagine as you inhale and exhale that each inhalation is born in the heart chakra and rises up to the throat chakra and on each exhale the breath moves from the throat chakra all the way back down to the center of the heart chakra so each time that an inhalation presents itself in your body you might imagine that that inhalation is born in the heart chakra and moving up toward the throat chakra and on the exhale when it presents itself the breath is moving from the throat chakra all the way back down to the center of the heart chakra I invite you to go with the flow of your own breath not trying to manipulate it but rather allowing it to rise and fall at its own natural rhythm and and might you for a minute imagine that for the next inhale that presents itself the breath is born in the heart moves up into the throat and all the way up into the Ajna or the third eye chakra and on the exhale the breath moves from the third eye chakra through the throat all the way back down to the heart chakra just allowing that natural cadence of your own breath to flow freely from the heart chakra all the way up to the center of the forehead and from the mind's eye there all the way back down to the heart chakra activating all beautiful energy in the throat chakra and releasing the awareness from the breath and allowing it to settle back down in the throat chakra and just for a minute to feel the energy present in the throat chakra do you feel any energy movement there maybe you feel stillness or maybe you feel a cyclical energy or a wave or infinity just be present with the energy of this throat chakra do you feel a direction that it moves in a shape that it creates you might even notice colors patterns or symbols here and might you for a moment imagine that you are miniaturized standing right in the center a pinpoint center of the throat chakra and while you see yourself standing there open your eyes and look around what do you see is there a landscape that you're looking out over is it colors shapes is it the landscape of a memory of somewhere you've been before take a moment to turn your body in 360 degrees right here at the pinpoint center of the throat chakra allowing your eyes to rest and take in whatever it is that you see here it might be silhouettes it might be a landscape it might be a place it might be somebody there or not but allow yourself to take it all in in 360 degrees and not all of us are visual you may be there at the pinpoint center of your throat chakra and you might just know where you are you might just know a tiny piece of this place you might have a memory pop up or words dance across your mind you might hear music melody calls of nature you might be here at the pinpoint center of the throat chakra and hear your true voice and it may sound unfamiliar or it may be the most familiar sound you have ever heard you may begin to feel sensations across your body or the rising of emotions these are simply ways that you are experiencing this throat chakra you don't have to experience it in every way I invite you to say yes to whatever comes up might you even just take a seat here at the center of your throat chakra close your eyes and experience this place might you ask this throat center of yours to show you something you need to hear see,

Know,

Feel,

Receive or give and slowly beginning to deepen your breath inhaling through the nose exhaling through the mouth with a gentle release of the throat chakra inhaling through your nose exhaling through your mouth and one more time,

Inhaling through your nose and this time opening your mouth and allowing your voice to ride on the breath and actually let's do that one more time feeling the width and breath of your voice free inhaling through your nose opening your mouth and sighing out with sound feeling all those lovely vibrations right in the throat center there and when you're ready,

Simply wiggling or moving around your fingers stretching your body a little bit slowly bringing yourself back to presence in your space,

In your body your physical body,

Your energetic body,

Your emotional body starting to fill it back up with your awareness and when you're ready,

You can blink your eyes open go ahead and grab your journal or whatever you're going to be writing in and allow yourself to just write out what you remember what you had a response to any of the visualization that feels important to write and if you're here writing personally you can dive into any aspect of the visualization and see where it takes you if you are writing creatively start with the images that you saw write into them begin to do a little stream of consciousness writing and see what else is in those images for you to bring your imagination to,

Your creativity to is there a character in it?

Is there a setting?

A story that wants to be born?

Is there a voice that a character wants to have?

And if so,

How can you write the words that need to be said?

Maybe you have to write another character for them to say it to so enjoy,

Have fun don't think too hard allow it to just flow out we've opened up so much beautiful authenticity and communication here it's a beautiful time to just be with your writing for the next 10-15 minutes there will be some more music and frequency and just a partner for you to write with if you don't want to write with music,

That is perfectly fine you can turn the track off here but if you'd like to have the support it is here for you my friends thank you so much for joining me Namaste
