Just take a moment to close down your eyes,
Wherever you are,
Whether you're sitting or on the ground.
Maybe you're lying down.
Just closing down your eyes and just bringing your awareness to all of the larger muscle groups.
And inviting them to simply let go,
Surrender back and down the shoulders,
The head and the back of the head.
The hips,
The back,
The thighs.
Just by bringing a gentle awareness to different places in the body,
You're inviting those places to surrender.
You might even bring your awareness to your eyes and all of the little muscles behind the eyes.
Bringing your awareness to the jaw,
The back of the tongue,
The back of the neck,
The ribs,
The heart space.
The pelvic bowl,
The whole right leg from your hip all the way down to the bottom of your feet and all five toes.
And your left leg from your hip all the way down to the bottom of your foot and all of the toes on your left foot.
The whole right arm from your shoulder all the way down to the tips of your fingers,
The palm of your hand.
And the whole left arm from the shoulder all the way to the tips of the fingers and the palm of your hand.
Gently inviting your awareness across the whole right side of the body.
The whole right side of the body and the left hemisphere of the brain.
Inviting your awareness to the whole left side of the body.
The whole left side of the body and the right hemisphere of the brain.
And then allowing your awareness across the whole body.
The whole body.
And dropping that awareness down to your breath.
Just as a witness to your breath.
It's as if your body is breathing you.
And imagining for a second as you witness your breath.
Imagining that as you inhale,
You're inhaling from a center point in the heart space,
Expanding,
Softening outward.
And as you exhale,
It comes right back to that center point of the heart space.
Just imagining this as you witness your breath.
Your body breathing you in and out of the heart space.
And letting that go.
I'm going to say a word.
And when I say that word,
I want you to just witness what kind of response you get in your body to that word.
Change.
Change.
Do you feel anything in your body?
Do thoughts arise?
Do memories erupt?
Maybe you feel a sensation across your body.
Or maybe it's a quiet whisper.
Change.
Might you imagine inhaling and expanding into this idea,
This word.
Change.
And as you exhale,
Bringing it back to the center.
As you inhale,
Expanding and softening to the idea of change.
And as you exhale,
Bringing it back to the center point of your heart.
Might you visualize what change looks like?
You may have an image,
Or a word,
Or an expression.
Might you allow yourself to be open to a time in your life when change surrounded you?
You can allow a memory to come up effortlessly and with ease.
And might you breathe into this memory.
Inhaling and exhaling in and out of this memory.
Just expanding it.
As if it was an orb or a crystal ball you could look into and see this memory.
And as you inhale into it,
It gets larger.
And as you exhale,
It comes back to a pinpoint.
Allow the memory to breathe within you.
What does it have to say to you about your relationship to change?
Did this memory exist for a reason?
Just allow yourself to inhale and exhale.
Allowing the memory to breathe within you.
And allow it to shift and transform as you breathe.
You can see it from all angles.
You can see it from all vantage points.
What is this memory telling you?
Gently releasing that now.
And just breathing.
You might want to take a deep breath into your belly,
Through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing it out.
Inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing it out.
And inhaling through your nose.
Opening your mouth and sighing it out.
And allow yourself to get a pen and a paper to write down some of the things that came up for you around change.
Whether it be a memory,
What it felt like,
Any bodily sensations.
All of the things that came up,
Give yourself a chance to express that.
Whether it be through writing or sketching or painting or drawing.
Allow yourself to express it.
Change is inevitable.
It is the one constant.
And we have a relationship to change that has been built through our lifetime.
Each time you look at another memory of change,
You are fortifying your trust.
You are saying to yourself,
I can build trust in my life.
I can look at my relationship to change.
And you are surrendering a small piece of yourself to the energy that is happening around you.
So brava,
Bravo.
I would love to hear your thoughts.
If you feel like you would like to share your experience of just spending a few minutes with change.
Or if you write into it and you find some moments that really connect.
I would love to hear from you.
So thank you so much again for coming on this journey with me.
And I'll see you next time.
Namaste.
