Welcome,
I'm Jocelyn.
I just want to take a moment to bring to your awareness how much your body does for you.
And then we'll enter into a bit of guided awareness and gratitude toward our bodies to start the day.
So just taking a minute to think about our bodies and how they breathe even when we're not thinking about it.
How our lungs expand and contract to bring oxygen into our bodies to feed each and every cell.
And we can bring our awareness to it and deepen it should we feel like we want to.
But we don't have to,
Just like our heart beats.
And our heart beats all day long,
Even when we're sleeping.
And of course we can slow our heart beat down.
We can balance our nervous system,
But it's always beating for us regardless.
Our digestive tract breaks down food into nutrients that we can take in to feed us,
To feed ourselves.
And of course we can help that process.
We can eat certain fibers or enzymes,
Probiotics.
We can support that system,
But it does work on its own.
Our liver is filtering.
There's so many beautiful things going on in our body at any one moment.
So many systems at play,
Our circulatory system,
Our nervous system.
All of these things are at play together.
It is so amazing how we work.
I mean,
We don't even have a real conscious thought when we want to use our hand and grab something.
But there are all of these signals that happen in our brain to move our muscles to create the movements that we want to create.
We can even move ourselves out of pain if we understand how to work with our brains.
Oh,
It is amazing.
Our bodies are amazing.
So let's take a moment and give them a little bit of gratitude.
I think oftentimes we think about the things that our bodies are making hard on us.
And sometimes those things that are symptoms or uncomfortable,
They are the body's way of speaking to us to tell us things.
I mean,
Even in that,
How amazing is that,
That our body communicates with us all day long.
So let's give our body some gratitude.
Go ahead and close your eyes.
And wherever you are,
You don't have to change your space or how you're sitting or laying down.
But you can getting yourself into a place where you're just settled into whatever you're sitting on or laying on.
And with your eyes closed,
I invite you to really just get a sense of your body in the space you're in.
Can you sense into the curves and the angles of your body,
The density of different parts of your body?
Maybe you can even sense into the different weight of different areas of your body.
Sensing into the tiny,
Small pieces of your body like eyelashes,
Strands of hair.
And also bringing your awareness to the larger parts of the body,
The shoulder blades,
Hips,
Rib cage,
Right?
Feel into the sensations and the shapes that your body is creating by just being still in its space right now.
Can you sense the length of your body?
Can you sense the spaces that your body is creating?
Maybe between your toes or your legs,
Between your arm and the side of your body.
Can you sense the space between the curve of the spine and the support behind it?
This beautiful body that you have that's perfect in this moment.
It's doing exactly what it needs to do.
And that's beautiful.
It may not be perfect.
And to be honest,
I don't know who would have a perfect body.
I don't think any of us have a perfect body,
But we are in perfect relationship with our body when we're in communication with it.
So just taking a few deep breaths,
Breathing life into this body,
Consciously inhaling through your nose.
Filling your body up with that life force and exhaling through your nose.
Emptying the body.
Filling up on the inhale.
Filling up with life,
With energy,
With life force expanding into your body.
And exhaling through your nose,
Slowly emptying out anything your body no longer needs with your awareness.
Inhaling through your nose,
Filling up your body with energy and life force.
And exhaling through your nose,
Emptying out,
Squeezing out all that you don't need right now.
All the unnecessary things.
And one last time,
Inhaling through your nose,
Filling your body up.
Nourishing your body with oxygen consciously.
And exhaling through your nose,
Emptying out anything that's no longer needed.
And releasing that.
I'm just going to walk your awareness across your body.
And as my voice rests on different areas of the body,
Might you imagine your awareness like a loving and kind gaze over that area.
A loving and kind gaze.
Holding that area in loving kindness.
And that gaze may generate warmth for you.
It might generate softness for you.
It might generate a thank you for you.
Just imagining as we go across the body with my voice.
At each stop along the way,
We're simply holding that part of your body in a loving and kind gaze with your awareness.
And let's start with the muscle of the heart.
Your awareness like a loving and kind gaze across the muscle of the heart.
The front of the heart.
Back of the heart.
The sides of the heart.
And that heart center.
A loving,
Kind gaze of your awareness.
Stretched across the heart center.
And your awareness now radiating out to both sides from the heart.
Landing like a loving and kind gaze across the front of the shoulders.
The right shoulder and the left shoulder together.
A beautiful,
Loving gaze of your awareness.
And your attention moving down the inside of the arms to the armpits.
The inside of both elbows.
Both inner forearms.
A loving gaze settling across both inner forearms.
And inner wrists.
A loving and kind gaze over the palms of both hands.
Those hands that reach out and bring in.
Allowing your awareness to move to all ten fingers.
Fingertips.
All the knuckles and bones of the fingers.
And the beautiful dance that they create when your hand moves in any direction.
Allowing your awareness to travel back up the outside of both arms.
With that loving gaze on the back of the hands.
The outside of the forearms.
The back of the elbows.
All of the nerves and bones and cartilage and tendons that thread through the elbow.
That loving gaze.
The intricacy of the design of our bodies.
Thank you.
The upper arms.
A loving gaze.
And the back of the shoulders.
And the shoulder blades.
That loving gaze.
The upper spine and all the vertebrae steeped in the loving gaze of your awareness.
And the back of the neck.
Allowing your awareness to travel up the back of the head.
To the top of the head.
A loving and kind gaze.
Radiating across the whole top of the head.
And moving down the front of the face at the center of the forehead.
The mind's eye.
Thank you.
For all that I perceive.
For all that I interpret and integrate.
Bridge of the nose.
Both eyes.
Globes of the eyes.
Eye sockets.
All the muscles behind the eyes.
A loving and kind gaze across both eyes.
That allow us to see.
Both with our outer vision and our inner vision.
That allow us to experience color and patterns.
And people.
And gestures.
Allowing your awareness to travel to both ears.
The outer ears.
Loving and kind gaze and the inner ears.
Allow us to hear all the sound vibrations around us.
Both within the body.
Outside the body.
In our space.
Allow us to hear the frequency of life around us.
Bringing the loving gaze to the muscle of the mind between the ears.
The muscle of the mind steeped in our loving and kind gaze of awareness.
Allowing the muscle of the mind to rest beneath your loving and kind gaze.
Thank you.
Allowing your awareness to come to the nose.
The tip of the nose.
The right nostril.
The left nostril.
Allowing us to experience aromas.
Depths of aromas and scents.
Allows us to smell when trouble is near.
To remind us of beautiful memories.
Thank you.
Allowing your awareness to move to the mouth.
The inside of the right cheek.
Inside of the left cheek.
The tip of the tongue.
The taste buds that allow us to live within an experience of taste.
To remember comfort through food.
Our tongue allows us to speak,
To communicate.
Thank you.
Allowing your awareness to come across the lips.
Holding your lips in your awareness with a loving and kind gaze.
Allowing your awareness to shift its gaze to the center of the throat.
The front of the neck.
The birth of our voice.
Loving and kind gaze of your awareness.
Allowing your awareness to shift to the front of the chest.
The front ribs.
Side ribs.
The beautiful protection for all our organs.
A gentle,
Loving,
And kind gaze of your awareness.
Across the lungs.
That beautiful flow and dance of inhalation and exhalation.
That happens even when we're not consciously aware of it.
Thank you.
Allowing your awareness and that gaze to shift down to the navel center.
Lower belly.
The pelvis and the pelvic bowl.
The organs of creation.
Thank you.
Allowing that loving and kind gaze to penetrate the hips,
The right hip,
And the left hip.
To move down the inner thighs.
The sturdy,
Stable muscles and bones of the inner thighs.
To the underside of the knee.
Allowing that loving and kind gaze to travel across the calves.
And the inner ankles that hold us up,
That keep us in balance.
And the bottoms of those feet.
All of the bones,
The curves of our feet.
That loving and kind gaze seeping in with a thank you.
And all 10 toes.
Loving gaze.
Thank you.
Moving your awareness with that loving gaze across the tops of the feet.
The outside of the ankles.
The shins.
The intricacy of each of your knees.
Thank you.
Allowing us to shift direction.
Allowing us to lessen impact.
Invading your awareness up the front of your thighs.
The back of your thighs.
A loving gaze of awareness.
And allowing your awareness to settle at the tailbone.
Beginning of that root chakra.
That place of safety and security.
What a beautiful loving gaze to send through the root chakra.
To begin your day.
Thank you.
And might you zoom out and allow your awareness to steep your entire body.
In this loving and kind gaze.
To exude gratitude from this gaze for your whole body.
And how it works together.
How it communicates between systems.
The whole body.
Thank you.
And simply taking three deep breaths.
Filling up the body on the inhale.
Opening your mouth and emptying out on an exhale.
You might bring voice to that side.
Inhaling through the nose.
Filling up,
Feeding and nourishing your body with oxygen.
Opening your mouth and sighing out.
And one last time.
Inhaling.
Filling up this beautiful body of yours.
Nourishing and feeding itself.
Opening your mouth and sighing it out.
Emptying out anything that's no longer needed.
You might want to wiggle your fingers or your toes.
You might want to stretch your consciousness back into this beautiful body.
With a body stretch.
You might want to roll your body around or undulate your spine just a little.
To settle back into this beautiful body.
With your consciousness.
You might want to open your eyes when you're ready.
Place a hand on your heart.
Whisper a thank you.
