Welcome to this guided meditation for connecting with your inner child.

My name is Jess and I'm truly honored to be your guide today.

Firstly I invite you to find a comfortable position where your spine is straight and you're comfortable with ease.

Perhaps you'd like to take this time now to loosen any tight clothing,

Grab a blanket to keep you warm,

Anything here to make you feel more comfortable.

And once you've found a comfortable seat I invite you to close down your eyes and gently bring your awareness to your breath.

Bring one hand to your belly just below your ribs and place the other hand on your chest.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and let your belly push your hand out.

Breathing all the way and when you're ready to exhale breathe out through pursed lips as if you're blowing through a straw.

Feel the hand on your belly go in and use it to push all of the air out.

Take this breath cycle another four times here at your own pace.

Allowing the mind to gently relax.

And with every exhale visualize your whole body releasing tension and relaxing.

Tension is being released from all areas of your body checking in with any areas that feel tight or restricted.

Notice how the body feels here.

And when you finish your fourth cycle just coming back to a normal breath.

Notice how your body feels now with no judgment only observation.

Now bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows.

And begin to visualize your childhood home.

See it from the outside and notice how you feel.

Are there any memories that arise?

Are there certain memories or certain feelings that come up?

Just take your time to check in with yourself here.

Observing any feelings with no judgment.

You are only the observer.

Picture at the front of the house here now a small child.

This child is you.

Notice what this child version of yourself is wearing and the expression on their face.

I'd like you to imagine here that this is your own child and you are your adult parent.

Just take this moment to observe everything that's going on around you.

Notice what you see.

Notice how you feel.

Really start to walk up to your child self here and take hold of their hand.

They open the front door for you and you both begin to explore what's inside.

Can you picture the separate rooms?

Does it look the same?

Do you remember how you felt in each of those rooms?

Do you remember the memories that you made in those rooms?

Again holding no judgment.

You are only the observer in this memory.

Taking your time to slowly walk around the house and as you walk around the home gently remind yourself here to focus on your breath.

Use the breath that flows through you to calm any energy that you may feel in your body here.

Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.

You can feel your body calming any sensation.

Inhaling deeply.

Exhaling slowly.

Remembering again that you are simply an observer in this scene.

And as you walk around notice if you see anybody here.

Are there any other people?

What are they doing?

Do they say anything?

How are they behaving?

And bringing your awareness back to your breath inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.

Keep hold of your child's hand.

Turn around and start to walk out of the house the same way you walked in.

Holding hands.

And when you get to the front of your house hug your child self and remind them here how safe they are.

Repeat the following phrases to your child.

You are so safe.

I am here for you.

I accept you just the way you are.

You are enough and I love you.

Remind them that you are always with them and they live in a new reality now which is safe and secure.

Now begin to walk away from your childhood home walking into your new life now with your inner child into a future that you're moving into together.

Give yourself gratitude for practicing today and for honoring your inner child.

Have a wonderful day.
