My name is Jenny and this is a breathwork practice for finding peace,
Reducing anxiety and dropping into rest.
Practice for stepping back from the worries,
The thoughts,
The busyness of the mind,
And coming into a space of rest.
I invite you to join me lying down.
Find a comfortable position.
Let's gently close the eyes.
Take a few moments to let the body land take a few moments to settle into the space,
Into the moment you're in now perhaps allowing your body to get a little heavier even 5% I invite you to tune into your breath.
And as you listen to your breath gently coming in and out.
I invite you to breathe into the body here notice what's there noticing the sensations and the arms relax.
Noticing the energy your body is carrying right now and rather than trying to change or control or escape whatever's left.
Together let's meet it with a gentle allowing yourself to arrive here however you are today I deserve to rest.
However I am.
I want you to notice.
How you're feeling.
Not how you're thinking.
Don't worry about that for now.
How do I feel as I breathe?
Everything is welcome.
And then I invite you to notice how you're thinking No two.
Create space to see what thoughts what worries,
What stories to do list.
Take a moment to really see the thinking of the brain and Observe what's there.
Then I want you to visualise an art gallery.
If you struggle to visualize,
See if you can feel instead.
And those thoughts,
Those to-do lists,
Worries in the head.
I want you to see them move onto the walls of this art gallery like paintings.
See yourself walking and take a look at the paintings.
Stand back and see that thought.
Get curious about it,
Watch it.
Not feeling the needs to suppress or push down any thoughts,
Instead stepping back and creating space to see them.
Finding that power in I am not my thoughts so I can watch them.
Take a few moments and Explore what paintings.
Of air tonight get playful and allowing those paintings just to settle on the wall.
I want you to come in to your breath,
Deep in the belly.
Really gently welcoming your breath.
Deep in the belly as you welcome your breath deep and gentle in the belly Feel yourself grounding in your body.
Feel yourself creating perhaps a little distance from those paintings on the wall Feel yourself stepping back from the thought.
To do less.
The busyness of the day and with every slow gentle breath to the belly Feel yourself coming home.
A little more to you.
Breathing back from the paintings.
Breathing more into you.
And as you breathe more into you Feeling you're a wad.
Drop a little deeper.
Healing the body.
Every breath.
Letting go a little deeper Come back to that.
Image of a gallery.
You are stood back,
You see the paintings,
The thoughts from afar,
But I'm not too worried about them.
Any new paintings come.
Gently look at this and in front of you,
Straight ahead.
You see or you feel.
And if this gallery contains the thought to the mind behind this door is a place of deep breath.
Behind this door's nourishment is softness.
Field yourself,
See yourself walk past the paintings to that door.
Feel yourself.
Right next to that door and if behind this door is a place of peace.
What is that to you today?
Is it water or is it light?
Is it a place in your imagination?
With deep breaths.
Of peace.
Behind this door.
What is that to you today?
Place your hand on the handle.
When you feel ready,
Let the door gently open.
And allow yourself to step.
Away from the gallery of thoughts and into this place of as you step into this place of peace.
This place where it is safe to rest.
Allow the body to feel what it wants Maybe that's a big sigh out.
Maybe it's joy.
Maybe it's polite.
Maybe it's allowing whatever images are there in this space.
Allowing whatever emotions that are in this space to come alive allowing yourself to sink.
To play,
To be in this place of rest Stay here for a moment.
Soak it up.
And play.
You deserve this space.
Find somewhere to rest.
In this space.
At whatever energy you're carrying from the day.
Find a place to rest here.
And as you begin to rest here Take a gentle breath in for 3,
2,
1.
One slowly out,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Two,
Gently in,
Three one energy rest,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Keep this going in for three,
Out a sick Find a pace that works for you.
Breathe with the energy,
The… the images,
The feelings in this space as you count your breaths.
Anniversary.
How sick Allow this energy to rest.
I can run.
And as you breathe.
Whether you're still counting.
.
.
.
Whether you've let it go.
Stay in this space.
Trust.
This space.
And remember anything in the gallery of thoughts that is important it's going to be there later if we need it.
But for now maybe we can just stay in this energy of rest.
I can run.
I am safe.
It's alright you can stay here as long as you need.
Wishing you a beautiful rest
