Hello,

I'm Jenny B.

This meditation is designed for your restful sleep.

So find a comfortable place to sit or lie.

If you have a blanket or something for comfort and warmth,

Have that around you and set any timers that you need before we begin.

There is no rush,

Nothing to do for a while,

Nothing to do but rest.

Just be aware of your body as you sit or lie in your space,

How it's supported without you having to do anything.

And as you're breathing slowly,

Comfortably,

Feel your stomach gently rise.

And as you exhale,

If you haven't already,

Allow your eyes to close.

Try some deeper breaths and notice how soft your stomach starts to feel.

Deep,

Comfortable breaths at your own pace.

Notice the presence of your blanket or cover.

Feeling its warmth and contact,

Maybe against your skin or beneath your fingers.

It's reassuring and a sign you're ready for comfort and rest.

I'd like you to feel or imagine a gentle ball of light directly above the crown of your head.

It can be any color you choose,

Purple,

White,

Silver,

Whatever feels right today.

Slowly allow the light to travel down into your head.

This color releasing every tension it finds.

Eyebrows,

Jaw.

Feel those relax.

Down through your neck,

Into your shoulders.

Down your arms,

Into your fingers.

That's right.

Notice as it travels down into your ribcage,

Down into your stomach.

Moving slowly,

Doing its work into your hips.

Feel or imagine that color moving down,

Down,

Down into your legs,

Into your ankles and into your feet.

Releasing,

Relaxing as it smooths away any tension it finds.

Melting it away,

Back,

Back,

Slowly back into the earth.

As you sink deeper and deeper,

Heavier and heavier.

I'd like you to picture yourself standing in a quiet,

Cozy room,

A space just for you.

Here you feel safe and relaxed.

In front of you is a doorway.

It could be made of old oak or glass or beautiful crystal,

Whatever you choose.

A gentle light shimmers around its frame with a feeling of safety and familiarity and you walk towards it.

As you step through,

You are transported to a beautiful sanctuary.

This could be a meadow with lavender and gentle bubbling streams or a quiet,

Breezy hilltop overlooking a valley with rivers and trees in the distance.

Or perhaps a secret walled garden with scented tumbling roses.

Wherever feels right for you.

Slowly look around you.

What do you see?

This place is just for you.

Imagine the things you'd like to see.

Imagine the things you can smell,

Maybe herbs or flowers.

Imagine the things you feel,

Maybe the fresh air on your face.

Imagine the things you can hear.

Maybe birdsong or a busy,

Bumbling bee.

You notice a comfortable place to relax.

It's dry and soft and just right to lie back and take in your surroundings and look up at the clear evening sky.

Make yourself comfortable.

Wrap yourself in your soft,

Comforting blanket.

It holds you like a warm hug.

You feel completely at ease and in awe of the beauty before you and in the evening sky.

And slowly as the stars come out,

You see thousands of sparkly lights.

So vast.

Twinkling,

Shining.

Some seem to have colors around them.

The sky looks huge.

The clouds are so beautiful.

The galaxy is beautiful.

The shooting star briefly moves across the scene before you.

The galaxy so ancient,

So far away,

And yet here,

Right now with you.

The light and the color of the planets high above you.

And the air feels so sweet to breathe.

You are accepted as part of the universe you see.

And stars above are watching over you.

Glowing gently,

Softly,

Like gentle guardians watching from afar.

You are safe.

Your body grows heavier and heavier.

Sinking deeply into your blanket,

Into your comfortable,

Safe space.

You are protected and accepted here.

Your eyes are so heavy.

Nothing to do.

Sinking and sinking deeper and deeper.

Each star still twinkles softly,

Whispering peace as you fall deeper and deeper.

You are safe here.

It's time to rest.
