Jennifer Jeffery Kapusciak

Jennifer started practicing yoga over 30 years ago and has been teaching for the last 6 years. Coping with a childhood of abuse, therapy and and the physical practice of yoga made life manageable, though the residual anxiety and depression persisted. Not caring for the side effects of mind altering medications, Jennifer's curiosity started to deepen her yoga practice turning to breath training, or yogic breathing, and adding meditation to temper the occasional anxiety attacks and depressive episodes. For her, it worked. As her passion with the mental benefits of yoga began to grow, her desire to learn more led her to receive her 200 Hour Yoga Certification. She began teaching and absolutely loved sharing her passion with her students. As her community grew and she got to know her students, she realized the commonality shared among all people - pain, in all of forms. Her teaching began to incorporate a bit more meditation in her Yin Yoga classes. She started leading guided meditation workshops and turning her focus to Trauma Informed Yoga. It was her interest in helping people that led her to voice work and InsightTimer. Jennifer has a degree in Psychology, B.Sc (Psych), is certified in Yoga (200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training), Trauma Informed Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra, and is currently completing her certifications for 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and Pranayama (Yogic Breathing).
