Quiet Sitting As A 24-Hour Qigong Method Of Qi Regulation
This is a very sophisticated “24-hour Qigong method”. If you were to ask an experienced practitioner how often they practice Qigong they would say, “24 hours per day.” What this actually means is that he/she is maintaining a constant “Qigong state” (of mind). Often this is as simple as breathing intentionally into the lower abdomen. This is fundamentally important to your practice. The more you can do this during the day the more you will be able to remain in the Qigong state. With Qigong, the most important aspect is not movement but mental and emotional relaxation. The mind is used to “kick start” the Qi to get it moving. This in turn allows for the healthy processes of life to take place. The mind is used to “push the button” to get things moving a few times a day. Sooner or later these events will link the Qi together, so that you can be in the Qigong state 24 hours per day! Please review my free video on "Abdominal Breathing" as this forms the basis of Quiet Sitting.
