Welcome.
I've often found that the guidance I'm looking for arrives in the quiet moments.
Not necessarily when I'm searching for it or trying to figure something out.
But when I make a little space.
When I stop reaching for an answer long enough to notice what is already here.
It's a beautiful thought that the quieter you become,
The more you can hear.
And so for these next few minutes,
That's all we'll do.
Will slow down.
Will settle into the body.
And we leave a little space for whatever the present moment might have to show us.
So whenever you're ready,
Find a comfortable position,
Whatever that means to you today.
And allow your body to settle in.
If it feels good.
Let your eyes gently close.
And take a slow breath in.
And a soft breath out.
Again,
Breathing in gently.
And letting go.
Softly.
Allowing your breath to find its own rhythm now.
Feel the weight of your body being held by the ground beneath you.
And little by little begin to release the things you no longer need to hold on to in this moment.
Let the shoulders soften Let this phase between your eyebrows.
Release.
Unclench your jaw.
Soften the belly.
Allow your hands to rest without effort.
There is nothing you need to brace for right now.
Nothing you need to reach towards.
For these few moments.
You can simply be here.
Breathing.
Feeling.
Arriving.
As the body begins to settle,
Let your awareness soften too.
You don't have to follow every thought that passes through the mind.
Don't have to push them away either.
Let the thoughts come and go.
Like ripples moving across the surface of a lake.
And with each breath.
Imagine the water becoming a little quieter.
Not forcing it to be still but simply allowing it to settle in its own time.
And maybe you can begin to feel what it is like to rest in that kind of space.
A space where you don't have to know.
Where you don't have to decide just yet.
A space where you can let yourself be,
Open to receive whatever this moment might bring.
Without needing it to lead somewhere.
And now,
Gently,
Notice whatever arises on the surface of the water.
Open to receive whatever is reflected upon it.
Maybe it is a word.
A memory or an image.
Maybe it's a feeling in your body.
There's no need to interpret it or to decide what it means,
Just notice.
And if nothing comes let that be part of this moment too.
Breathing softly.
Listening gently.
So stay here for a little while longer,
Leaving space to allow whatever wants to reflect on the surface to reveal itself.
Gently begin to notice the sensations of your breath in your nostrils.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Feel yourself return back to the room that you are in.
And as we begin to close this time together.
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
And if you'd like,
You might want to journal something about what came to you in this space,
Even if it was nothing.
Whatever this moment has held for you,
You don't need to turn it into anything.
You can simply carry the experience of having paused.
Of having listened.
Of having given yourself a little room to breathe.
Because the space you made.
Was enough.
The guidance of the present moment.
It's not always loud.
It doesn't always arrive with clarity right away.
Sometimes it's a knowing that only becomes clear when we stop trying so hard to hear it.
A practice that we can return to every day.
So maybe this is something you can take with you into your day.
You don't always have to search for the answer.
Sometimes you can make a little space.
And let the answer find you in its own time.
Take one more gentle breath in… and slowly exhale.
Feel the body.
Touching the earth beneath you.
Feel the room around you.
And without rush.
Whenever you're ready.
Gently.
Let your eyes blink open.
Carry this quiet with you.
Into your day.
Thank you for being here.
