Welcome to this guided meditation.
Please find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed,
Turning off or silence any distractions,
And find a comfortable seated position and softly close down your eyes if that's comfortable.
We will begin by taking three deep,
Cleansing,
Relaxing breaths.
So on your next inhale,
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep inhale and a complete,
Full,
Slow exhale,
Allowing your mind and your body to relax.
Taking another deep,
Slow inhale,
Notice as your body expands and a slow,
Complete,
Full exhale,
Allowing any stress and tension to drift away.
Taking one more deep,
Full inhale,
Feeling your body fill up with air and a complete,
Full exhale,
Allowing that air to move out of your body,
Taking with it any stress and tension that you are holding and return back to your natural rhythm of your breathing,
Taking your attention to the top of your head,
As you allow the top of your head to relax and to soften,
Continuing that relaxation down into your forehead,
As your forehead becomes heavy,
Your eyebrows become heavy,
Softening into your eyes,
Releasing the tension around your eyes,
Continuing that relaxation down into your face,
Your nose,
Your cheeks,
Unclenching your jaw,
Allowing your tongue to rest naturally,
Relaxing into your neck and your throat,
Relaxing down into your shoulders,
Allowing them to become heavy and rest away from your ears,
Continuing that relaxation down into your chest and your upper back,
Your middle back and your lower back,
Softening into your stomach,
Allowing it to become heavy,
Relaxing your upper arms,
All the way down to your lower arms and your fingers,
Relaxing into your hips,
Your upper legs,
Your lower legs,
Your feet and your toes,
As your body is completely relaxed now,
And just return your attention back to your breath,
As you breathe in and out of your nose naturally,
And just focus on the sensations of breath around your nose,
You may notice the cooler air on the inhalation,
And the warmer air on the exhalation,
You may notice tingling,
Twitching,
Throbbing of your heartbeat,
Whatever sensations you notice,
Just allow your awareness to rest upon these sensations,
Without going into a story or without judgment,
Just simply witness and continue to breathe naturally,
If you get distracted at any time during this meditation,
That is okay,
Just be kind to yourself,
And return your attention back to your breath,
As you breathe in and out of your nose naturally,
If you find it hard to focus on the breathing around your nose,
Then you can observe your stomach,
As it expands and contracts,
Or your chest and shoulders as they rise and lower,
Do what is comfortable for you,
During the toughest times in our lives,
Some of our darkest days,
Darkest weeks or months,
It appears that there is a storm,
And the storm can vary in size and shape,
And quite often it seems as it's causing a lot of destruction,
A lot of pain and suffering,
Whether that is physical,
Mental,
Emotional,
Environmental,
And it can often affect our lives,
Or at least appear to affect our lives,
And when the storm comes,
We may find it hard to cope,
It might be our worst time of struggles,
But when the storm is here,
And we are in the eye of the storm,
That is an opportunity,
The opportunity for a new birth,
A new life,
The storm comes and it takes away things from our lives,
Whether that's physical,
Psychological,
Emotional,
Environmental,
But when we are in the eye of the storm,
It is the perfect opportunity for birthing,
For new life,
For growth,
Everything in life is impermanent,
Nothing will last forever,
Just as the storm will pass,
It will not last forever,
And once the storm has passed,
You can grow into something more beautiful,
You can create something more beautiful than before,
It might have cleaned away what was there before,
But there is now a fresh space,
An open space,
To create,
To grow,
To blossom,
And just know,
That in the eye of the storm,
That is your chance,
Your chance to be reborn,
So as difficult as it may seem,
And as challenging and upsetting as it can be,
Just know and just trust,
Once this storm has passed,
You will be more beautiful,
The world around you will be more beautiful,
Because you have that space to create,
To be reborn,
To grow,
And to blossom into whatever it is you want to be,
If there is anything difficult or challenging in your life in this moment,
And you are in the midst of your storm,
Bring to mind or bring to your heart,
What is it that you want to birth,
What do you want to create,
What is it that you want to be,
Because knowing that this storm will soon pass,
That is your chance,
That is your opportunity,
So bring to mind and bring to your heart,
What it is you wish to be reborn into,
And you can begin to plant the seeds of that now,
And once the storm has passed,
And the open space is there,
You can watch it grow,
You can watch yourself grow and blossom,
So please keep in mind and keep in your heart,
This beautiful possibility of a new life,
Of a new birth,
Knowing that this storm will pass,
I invite you to take a few deeper breaths in your own time now,
And with each deep inhale,
Breathe in what it is you want,
What it is you want to create,
The rebirth that you desire once this storm has passed,
And as you breathe out,
Breathe out love,
Peace and bliss,
Just continue to take a few more deeper breaths,
And as you breathe out,
Keep breathing out love and peace and bliss,
You can take your attention off your breath now,
And just sit in the stillness around you,
You can begin to listen to the sounds that are around you,
Starting to get a sense of your surroundings,
Keeping your eyes closed,
You can begin to stretch,
Stretch out into the space around you,
And taking your time here,
You can begin to slowly open your eyes,
And take your time coming back around,
Thank you for meditating with me.
