Sit in an upright position with a long back,
Comfortably in a chair or on the floor.
If you'd like,
Lying down is perfectly okay if this feels like what your body needs.
If it feels right,
Close your eyes for this practice.
If it doesn't,
You can let your gaze be soft with a downward focus.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
One more time,
In through the nose with the inhale,
And now release with an audible exhale.
See if you can notice anywhere in your body where you might be holding stress.
Allow those places to melt.
You are comfortable and you are safe.
One more deep breath,
Breathing into your heart,
Your stomach,
And all the way to your legs,
Releasing all the tension on your exhale.
Leaving this earth is a natural part of life,
A fundamental aspect that reminds us of our divine existence.
Just like how you took your first breath upon birth,
One day you will take your last.
But rather than fear this inevitability,
Let us approach it with love and acceptance.
Knowing that our time is limited brings depth and meaning to our experiences.
